RAISING YOUR ONLINE PROFILE

When you join the Chamber, you will get your very own Profile page on the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce website (www.northants-chamber.co.uk).

Here you can post various items to raise your online profile. This is an instant and far-reaching medium in which you will be able to reach your target audience and gain publicity for your business.

Once you receive your log-in details to the back-office of our website, make sure you make full use of the various sections there to promote your business on your Profile page.

Here are the four sections we encourage members to consistently make use of.

NEWS

We look to post articles from our members who have interesting news to share. Stories need to be written in the third person like a news article. So if you’re expanding; taking on new staff; new events or courses you’d like to share; won an award, etc, please do upload those.

Please fill in the CONTENT section – with the information/news you want to highlight.

You can also upload images here as an attachment. Please ensure you only use jpeg or png images.

Once your news story is made live on your Profile page, it will then be shared via our Social Media Platforms – Twitter (we will include your Twitter handle if you have one), LinkedIn and Facebook. This will further increase viewership of your news story.

BLOG

The Blog section is where you post a personal message from yourself on anything which you wish to share with other members/public.

You can also upload images here as an attachment. Please ensure you only use jpeg or png images.

TOP TIPS

The Top Tips section is where you can upload a word document with tips related to your business ie. coaching/sessions; steps which you think members/public might benefit from to better themselves, their businesses, etc.

Please note you can’t upload images in the Top Tips section, just PDF or word documents. PDF documents are preferable.

MEMBER2MEMBER OFFERS

The Member2Member Offer section is where you can post offers for members only. So perhaps a discount on sessions, a product or service, etc.

You would need to include a start and expiry date for the offer. Please note, no images can be uploaded in this section.

Once you have uploaded your information via the NEWS, BLOG and TOP TIPS sections and Save/Closed it, one of our PR Executives will then check it for spelling, grammar, etc. before making them live.

Please note we do not check MEMBER2MEMBER OFFERS and you can make them live yourselves.

Here is a good example of what you will see on your profile page if you make full use of all four sections.

Note:

· If you Tweet out any news items, do include our Twitter handle - @NorthantsCoC - so we can retweet it for you.

· You can also add your logo and Twitter feed to your Profile page when you first sign on to your Profile page online.
