Page 2: Web 2.0

Won’t misplace slides

Can upload slides on blogAdding a teacher blog with student content can be a great way to involve parents and save large semester projects.

Share with students/parents/co-teachers

Synch audio to your slides

Analytics feature This feature allows you to track who is observing the site. This feature does come with a fee but is a great safety feature for a student working site if public.

Slideshare

Page 3: Web 2.0

12 Million Views a Month

Add Slideshare to Facebook

Flash driveI suggest e-mail or backing up work even if this is a cyber space program. You never know if the wireless will be working. Keeping a power point copy on flash is a great back up plan

Can’t Customize Slide TextHas limited features compared to PowerPoint but more accessibility

Teacher AidThis would be a great teacher aid especially for an intro to a new topic like the Lois and Clark Expedition.

Create posters to express informationAlmost every classroom has a photo or drawing of each student with their name on the bottom. They all go up on the wall so the teacher can memorize names to faces and students can recognize new students. Instead of the old school drawing or photos, kids could make a glog of themselves to put on the screen saver of their in-room laptops or even print off. This allows loads of creativity.

Include text, images, and video

Use for any subjectTeachers can use glogster as an aid to show history, science projects or math concepts in a fun and colorful i.e. memorable way.

Examples of School Glogs

Teachers can turn Glogs Into Blogs! This class each made a cell out of candy. The students glogged their cell and then the teacher blogged all the glogs so the parents could browse the final project online. I will definitely use this tool in my classroom.

Use it or loose it, keep technology constantly integrated in learning.

Make sure students know how to use programs correctly.

Technology takes time and time should be set aside to make sure everyone (teachers, students and hopefully parents) are updated.

Use appropriately so supervise or block when needed.

Teachers Responsibility
