WE Day is the movement of our time. The event celebrates and inspires this generation’s shift from “me” thinking to “we” acting – acting with intention, leading with compassion and believing in the power of community to change the word.

WE Day is embedded with high-value educational content for both students and teachers. Inspiring content is woven throughout the event through modules and lessons that raise awareness of various international and domestic issues, and empower students and teachers with the steps to take action.

Lessons are shared by world-renowned advocates for education and thought leaders who take the stage to share their stories and impart important messages on issues that they are passionate about.

The event is cause-inclusive and free for youth to attend. We currently host 14 WE Day events across North America and the UK, inspiring 200,000 youth from over 5,000 schools every year.

WE DAY

WE Day has welcomed renowned speakers and performers including Jennifer Hudson, Malala Yousafzai, Martin Luther King III, Demi Lovato, Sir Richard Branson, Common, Martin Sheen, Magic Johnson, Desmond Tutu, Selena Gomez, Prince Harry, and Natalie Portman.

CREATING SOCIAL VALUE WE Schools and WE Day participants contribute over 60 million dollars in social value

each year through dollars raised for thousands of local and global charities, volunteer hours logged, and pounds of food collected.

We are laying the foundations this spring for a full launch of our WE Schools programming in the New York / Tri-State Region in Fall 2016; developing partnerships with teachers, onboarding schools, and engaging youth and other key educational stakeholders. We also look forward to hosting the inaugural WE Day New York in the 2016-2017 academic year. Through funds raised, hours volun-teered and food collected for hundreds of local and global causes, we estimate that young people in the region will create millions in social value each year as we make tangible positive impacts on their academic engagement, workforce preparation, and active citizenship.

COMING TO THE NEW YORK / TRI-STATE REGION

WE is a movement that brings people together and gives them the tools to change the world. Our vision is to shift the world from “me” to “we”. Our unique family of organizations empowers people at home, around the world and with our social enterprise.
