The “JIGSAW” Method

Lesson 2: 1. # off students for as many games available

to create new groups & send to a game. 2. All “game experts” are now split up among

the games. They will teach their peers! 3. Choose Sport Ed Roles: Scorekeeper,

General Manager, Equipment Manager, Reporter. Review & understand roles.

4. Learn new game(s). Game expert teaches their game.

Lesson 1: 1. Divide students. 2. They learn that ONE

game: Game Play, Scoring, Etiquette, Equipment set-up/take down, etc. *Students become “Game Experts”.

Lesson 3 and on-going lessons:*Rotate through games (approx. 2-3 per lesson). Game experts teach their game. *Add in Skill- & Health-related fitness challenges.

*Have CHOICE-based Culminating Event Tournament. Kids run it.
