The Northwest Campus hosted program directors from the
non-profit medical practice research group of the Mayo
Clinic. The directors toured the Health Science Center and
met with students in the Surgical Technology, Surgical First
Assistant, and Nursing programs.

The Michigan Institute for Public Safety Education was host to the U.S. District Attorney Robert Poikey’s
training on Courtroom Testimony in Narcotics Cases. This course was designed to improve skills during
testimony.

Response Team (ERT) for Enhanced ERT
Search Techniques training. This training
provided members with classroom
instruction on enhanced search techniques.

Protection K-9 Field Training
MIPSE hosted members of the U.S. Customs and
Border Protection K-9 unit for training. These dogs
are trained to find either narcotics or food.
