Purpose of Public Hearing
To distribute the draft 2008-13 Consolidated Plan and 2008-09 Action Plan to the public
To collect feedback from the public on this plan To describe the planned activities to be
undertaken using ADDI, CDBG, and HOME funding in the coming year
To collect information about community needs for future consolidated & annual plans
What is the Consolidated Plan?
HUD requires Washtenaw County to submit a 5-Year Consolidated Plan to receive funding, which includes the following components: Market Data & Analysis Housing & Community Development Needs
Assessments Measurable 5-year Goals and Objectives
The Consolidated Plan covers the period July 1, 2008- June 30, 2013
What is the Annual Action Plan?
HUD requires Washtenaw County to submit an Annual Action Plan covering the fiscal year of July 1 – June 30 [target: May 2008]
Describes the financial resources expected to be available in the coming year, including Federal and non-Federal resources.
Includes a description of the activities that will be undertaken to meet the objectives of the Five-Year Consolidated Plan (~2008-2013).
Washtenaw County is in Year 1 of the Consolidated Plan.

2008-09 TIMELINE OF EVENTS Needs Assessment Public Hearing was conducted on
December 18, 2007 Pre-Bidders Conference was held on February 12,
2008 Proposals were due by February 29, 2008 Staff review and recommendations presented to
Urban County Executive Committee on March 25, 2008
Release of draft Action Plan on April 10, 2008 Public Comment Period: 30 Days-ends May 10,
2008) Draft Action Plan to Urban County on April 22, 2008 Send final Action Plan to HUD by May 12, 2007
