The BOB (Best of Business) Awards honor the best New Hampshire companies in more than 90 business-to-business categories, as voted on by the readers of New Hampshire Business Review. Categories include accounting firm, advertising agency, corporate moving company, place for a
business lunch, florist and more! This year 3,800 people voted and now it’s time to shake your groove thing and celebrate this year’s winners.
figHt tHe freezeOur inaugural Fight the Freeze Campaign to support homeless patrons is underway. The New Horizons Fight the Freeze campaign will raise funds to help clients battle the cold and keep those less fortunate warm. The Fight the Freeze campaign is an online campaign allowing current and new supporters of New Horizons to donate online (or mail in a check) and encourage their social media friends
to join the cause. By donating $25, supporter’s names will be placed on an online quilt that will be displayed on the New Horizons website. Participate
by visiting www.newhorizonsfornh.org.

It’s a bash to celebrate New Hampshire’s best B-to-B companies! Purchase tickets at www.bobawardsnh.com. A portion of proceeds will benefit New Horizons for NH.

JoiN us for tHe 2013 bob awards Party!
froM tHe eXecutiVe directorThe winter of 2013 has already proven to be quite challenging to all of us. We have encountered bitter cold, high winds and the most significant snowstorm since the Blizzard of ‘78.
This is New Hampshire and we do expect winter to offer us various challenges from time to time but just imagine for a moment that you don’t have a warm home to go to each night or a hot meal, or for that matter, any food at all.
Every night nearly 100 people in our community face this reality. Because of your support, New Horizons for New Hampshire provides food and shelter to those in need. I, for one, have been quite blessed and have always taken for granted that I have a place to go each night to sleep and food on the table but for many, the place they look to in a time of need is New Horizons.
This winter we have seen a record number of people seeking shelter and to meet this need we have arranged for an overflow shelter which can accommodate an additional twenty five adults. This has resulted in an additional operating expense to our organization. A portion of that expense has been covered by the Kevin Scott Dalrymple Foundation however, due to the recent severe weather, we are faced with additional unexpected costs. In order to offset these expenses we have launched our “Fight the Freeze” campaign which you can read about in this newsletter. I hope you will consider supporting this emergency fund-raising initiative so that we can continue our mission to provide food and shelter to those in need.
