  • What is Environmental Education?Environmental education is a lifelong learning process that leads to an informed and involved citizenry having the creative problem-solving skills, scientific and social literacy, ethical awareness and sensitivity for the relationship between humans and the environment, and commitment to engage in responsible individual and cooperative actions. By these actions, environmentally literate citizens will help ensure an ecologically and economically sustainable environment." What is EE?WEEBProjectsChallenges & NeedsHome You

  • Current Challenges and NeedsWith the passage of the 2001-2003 State biennial budget, $200,000 in general program revenue was replaced with $200,000 in segregated fee funds.

More than 50% of previously funded proposals exceeded new $5,000 limit. See WEEB web page.

Prior legislation dictates that the segregated fee money may only be used for forestry education projects.WEEB established a $200,000 school forest grant programWhat is EE?WEEBProjectsChallenges & NeedsHomeYou
