Medical plans and other employee benefits typically do not provide sufficiently for long-term care services.

Scope of ServicesA CNA policy covers nursing home care at up to 100% of the daily benefit amount you elect and home care at up to 50% of the daily benefit amount you elect. Hospice (home or facility), adult day care, and adult foster care expenses are covered as well.

SIX Quick Tips to Lower Your Auto and Home Insurance Costs:

1. Shop aroundPrices vary from company to company. Don’t shop price alone. Compare coverages and ask your friends and relatives for their recommendations.

2. Before you buy, compare insurance costsAuto insurance premiums are based on the cost of car repair, driver’s driving record, and the likelihood of theft. Many insurers offer discounts for features that reduce the risk of theft. For more information, visit www.iihs.org.

3. Seek out other discountsCompanies offer auto insurance discounts to you if you haven’t had any accidents or moving violations for a certain number of years or if you insure more than one vehicle. If there’s a young driver on your policy who’s a good student, you may also qualify for a discount.

4. Consider new home costsConsider how much insuring your new home will cost. A newer built home’s electrical, heating and plumbing systems, and overall structure are more likely to be in better shape than those of an older home. Insurers may offer you a discount if the home you purchase is relatively new.

5. Insure your house, not the landThe land under your home isn’t at risk from theft, windstorm, fire, or other perils covered in your homeowners policy. Don’t include that value in deciding how much homeowners insurance to buy.

6. Improve your home security Often, you can get discounts for smoke detectors, burglar alarms, or deadbolt locks. Before you buy a security system, find out what kind your insurer recommends and how much you could save on your insurance premiums.

** Home Insurance is not part of MetLife Auto & Home’s offering in MA, CA, and FL. Homeowner’s insurance is not currently part of Traveler’s new business offering in Florida.

*** In most instances, quotes are returned in approximately 5-10 minutes using the Comparative Rater. In some cases, a carrier may choose not to provide a quote, or in certain circumstances, carrier responses could take up to 24 hours.
