Dear CMP Parents and Community Members, We celebrated International Day of Peace with a whole school assembly, doing our human peace sign out in the field. Students, teachers and parents had the opportunity to share what peace means to them or what gives them peace. We sang peace songs, and engaged in a mindfulness practice of deep breathing and being aware of our surroundings and bodies. It was very peaceful. On another note, Normalization Period ends next week and teachers are looking forward to having parents volunteer in class. Please contact your child’s teacher to let them know of your interest and availability. One of the main reasons for our success is the partnership we have with parents. Carline Safety

During afternoon car line, we have staff members assigned to different street corners to assist with pedestrians crossing and keeping the driveways clear at all times. Our staff members volunteer to do this to keep the community safe and to have a smooth flow of car line. We would appreciate if you partner with us as we make our school environment and adjacent streets safe for pedestrians, bikers, drivers and staff members. Thank you for your patience with the process and the few minutes of wait time during afternoon car line.

Happy Fall!

K-6th “Watch Me Work Night” 10/12

Join us for “Watch Me Work” Night on 10/12 from 5-6:30pm.

You and your child will begin the evening by doing what they do

every morning when they arrive. Please allow them to show you

what they do and how they do it. They will be working as if they

are starting a new day of class. Any job your child completes will

be counted on their work plan for that week.

We encourage you to come with just the child of the class as we

have limited space and double the amount of the people in the

room as a normal work time.

This is a great time to see what your child does every day. The

teachers will try their best to talk with anyone to discuss jobs and

material, however, if you need to talk about your child’s progress,

we can set something up for a more appropriate date. Hope to

see you all here!
