    Orcadesair intake openingframe

    Fire class Launching mechanism complies to the NFS 61-937

    according to the tests of the CNPP relative to the launchingmechanisms for remote controlled opening in front.

    Dimensions

    - Insulated.- Insulated : enabling to get a cfcientK = 1,55 W/m2/ C.

    Dimensions : range enabling free passing from 10 dm2 to 1 m2(see selection chart).

    Launching by electromagnetic jack by pulse or break 24or 48 Vcc or by pneumatic launching.Possibility of double launching by adding a thermal fusecalibrated at 70 C depending on implantation.

    Bipolar or unipolar contacts.

    application Remote controlled grilles used on vertical face of building,

    for natural air intake, of smoke extraction process in ERP andcollective housing (premises, stairwells, corridors).

    construction / composition

    Grille with articulated vanes, made of aluminium frame inwhich aluminium blades pivot.

    The standard nish is anodised natural silver (paint option).

    The blades are synchronised by a linkage and opened by a spring.They will be kept closed in position.

    The water proofness and airtightness is ensured by the coveringof the vanes. In the insulated version, the airtightness is reinforced

    by a gasket. In the insulated version, the blades are doubled with an expanded

    polystyrene M1 (K = 1,55 W/m2/C) of 23 mm, locked up in to aPVC case.

    Launching deviced :

    The facade wall opening frame Orcades is equipped with anelectromagnetic magnet ensuring the launching by pulse or bybreak 24 Vcc or 48 Vcc (power 3,5 W or 1,6 W).

    The launching can also be done by pneumatic jack.

    It is equipped with a manual rearmament control. It can be equipped with a double launching by adding

    a thermal fuse calibrated at 70 C.

    tting and connection Functioning principle

    Assembled on a facade, in a low part of the premises, Orcades ensures fresh air intake.

    Installation advice

    The facade wall dampers Orcades are attached to a concretewall (mechanism interior side) with the help of sealing frameor in a metallic wall.

    Caution, foresee the clearance of the blades (140 mm)towards the exterior of the building.

    Caution, complying to 6 o the appendix A che VIII, allthe elements contributing to the rearmament (handle tomanipulate and hanging system by magnetic coil) have tobe at an inerior height o 3m in regards to the foor.

    Connection electric version

    Two compression glands are delivered to receive the remote control

    and signalling cables.The wiring has to be done according to the opposite diagram.

    Connection pneumatic version

    Copper pipe 6 mm to link to the Orcades. Service pressure 4 Ps 6 bars.

    Selection of the Orcades

    All the Orcades are with horizontal blades.

    Free area (rearmament manual / rearmament by jack) no difference of SLC between a standard Orcades and an insulated Orcades.

    Particular dimensions or air intake in stairwells 1min SGO.

    Dimensions or air intake in corridor or airintake in premises.

    Sealing rame

    The sealing frame is the linking element to x the Orcadesopening frame to the wall.

    Its use is recommanded for concrete wall assemblies.The frame is supplied in a kit with assembly instructions.

    Covering grilles Cyclades

    The grilles Cyclades Light/Medium/Extra will be xed with 4screws into the wall. These screws maintainthe grilles frame against the wall.

    The grille Cyclades Light has a xed core.The Cyclades Medium and Extra have openingcores.

    Position contact

    Inverter contact stand by position (closed) or securityposition (open), unipolar or bipolar.

    Launching plunger Launching plunger by pulse or break, 24 Vcc, 48 Vcc.

    Additional contacts

    Possibility of adding contacts on Orcades that have alreadybeen installed, or by way of polar contact, or by wayof unipolar contacts (if the delivered Orcade possesses nocontact).

    Assembly kit or door installations

    It is a set of parts enabling to sandwich a 50 mm panel.Orcades xing system on xed wall.

    Caution : you have to foresee a rear covering box (Orcadeswill exceed the wall) to be able to add a covering grille.

    Rearmament jack kit

    The rearmament jack can be assembled in factory ordelivered, on already installed Orcades.

    They enable an electric closing of the wall opening frameafter an opening (all or none).

    Technical information :- supply voltage : 24 Vcc.- jack consumption : 1,25 A.- circuit : 80 mm.- power : 400 N.

    This jack must be ordered with a supply case that will beable to control several wall opening frames equipped with

    jack (case to choose according to the number of jackequipped Orcades on the work site).

    Insulation kit

    Possibility of insulating the Orcades blades not insulated onthe work site.

    Maintenance

    Maintenance : according to norm NF S 61-933 Cleaning of the set (dust) at the start of the installation.

    Functioning, foresee periodical trials, according to normNF S 61-933.

    Denitions : Free area of a wall damper : interior geometric area (provided

    that the wall damper opens at at least 60). Useful area of wall damper : the useful area of wall opening

    frame is equal to the free area of this wall damper affectedof a coefcient of 0,5.

    UDP : Passage unit. QE = extract air ow.

    QI = insufation air ow.

    To limit or avoid the stairwells lling up with smoke, they can be, depending on the case, smoke extracted by a natural ushingor a pressurising application in relation to the damaged premises.

    The DENFC will be placed on the high part of the stairwell, and an air intake, of equal surface, will be placed at the low part of the cage.The manual control of the smoke extraction system is placed on the stairwell, at the level of the building entrance.
