二年來持續服務著廣大科學園區及清、交大學術學區，

竹湖暐順麗緻文旅已然成為新竹最具指標性的人文、商

務特色飯店。如何讓每位長住及常住的房客都能感受像

業務部同仁的日常從早上八點開始，不論是提供早餐的

二樓西餐廳或是等待接駁車的一樓大廳，總能看到業務

部團隊的身影，親切貼心問候每位準備到新竹科學園

區、清華大學、交通大學上班的房客，一句關心招呼，

讓隻身在外工作的旅客備感溫馨。照顧每位房客的需

求，為不同的生活習慣準備獨特性的備品，也讓每次再

回來入住的旅客，都有不同的驚艷。

每位業務同仁看似簡單接收電話的動作，其背後蘊含著

深厚的功力，除了要熟記每個住房專案的內容，還必須

準確地幫客人配對出最適合的方案，紀錄每位顧客的需

求，在結束通話瞬間，立即傳達給各部門，每個環節都

經過良好溝通且妥善安排。

一位八十歲的科技公司業務副總，每一季來台都停留十

天，自 2016年底飯店開幕，就選擇入住，至今已經回來

五次，每次都指定入住同一個房間。他說，「竹湖暐順

麗緻讓他有家的感覺」。

受聘到交大指導的印度教授，來台三個多月都住在館

內，跟每一位業務同仁就像是家人一般，知道教授素食

的飲食習慣，在他生日當天，業務及客務團隊特別為他

準備奶素蛋糕，與他到素食餐廳慶生，讓印度教授在台

灣留下美好的回憶。

In just two years of serving visitors to the Hsinchu Science Park and the two nearby universities, Landis Inn Chuhu has become Hsinchu’s most well known cultural and business hotel. That’s because we spare no effort to make every guest at the Landis feel like they are in their own home. In fact, it is our mission to make Landis " Your Home Away From Home."

Many of our guests work in the Hsinchu Science Park , Tsing Hua University, or Chiao Tong University. Some of them stay with us for weeks or even months. We want to make these long-term guests feel at home. So our sales and marketing team comes in at 8:00am to share a few friendly words with them, or offer an enthusiastic greeting. They might stop in at breakfast on the second floor to say "Good morning!" Or they might walk through the lobby to tell guests waiting for the shuttle bus "Have a good day at work!" Anything to make these guests feel at home.

Our sales team doesn’t just answer phone calls. They memorize the details of every room promotion so they can perfectly match each customer to the most suitable offer. They also take notes on the special needs of each customer. Then at the end of the call, they immediately transmit this information to all relevant departments, making sure each detail is clearly communicated and properly arranged.

Every three months, the 80-year-old vice president of a nearby technolog y company comes to Taiwan for 10 days. Since the Landis Inn Chuhu opened at the end of 2016, he has selected us every time he visits, each time requesting to stay in the same room. Why? Because "Lands Inn Chuhu makes me feel at home," he says.

An Indian professor teaching for a semester at Chiao Tung University stayed at Landis Inn Chuhu. Our sales team got to know him like family. Aware of his vegetarian diet, they had a special egg-free cake baked just for him on his birthday. Touched by this considerate gesture, the professor will now always have fond memories of Taiwan. 飯店不主動提供一次性備品，房間內使用的沐浴乳及洗髮乳是義大利艾格尼飯店的專業備品，強調綠色環保概念及

按壓式瓶罐設計；針對連續入住的房客不主動提供更換寢具服務，亦是綠行動的第一步，同時減少了每年超過 30

萬份廢棄備品，以及清洗床單毛巾的廢水，另建置垃圾壓縮機，垃圾經過壓縮，可存放約六台垃圾子車的量。總面

積超過千坪的綠化空間，結合雨水回收系統、遮光率…等綠建築理念，運用庭園、林蔭、陽光賦予飯店、自然和諧

From Landis Inn Chuhu, it’s just a five-minute walk along University

Road to the 63-hectare National Chiao Tung University Guangfu Campus.

The campus boasts 14 scenic attractions, the most famous of which is

Bamboo Lake. It’s the perfect place for a leisurely stroll, listening to the

sounds of bamboo swaying and birds singing as sunlight sparkles o� the

water. Inspired by this vast greenery and �owing light, the design of Landis

Inn Chuhu cleverly blends natural elements with contemporary style. �e

simple wood flooring and paneling in the guestrooms builds a sense of

harmony with nature, while the modern-day artistic design creates a stylish

yet comfortable space.

Taking the initiative to establish itself as an ecofriendly hotel, the Landis

Inn Chuhu has implemented a variety of energy-saving measures

to promote low-carbon green travel and provide ecofriendly

accommodation specials. Thanks to the joint efforts and

cooperation of all our staff and guests, in 2017 we successfully

passed 34 strict review standards set by Taiwan’s EPA, earning us

the organization’s "Ecofriendly Hotel" and "Bronze Environmental

Protection" marks. We are now one of only 13 hotels in Taiwan with

the prestigious EPA certi�cation of "Bronze Ecofriendly Hotel."

We’ve made a lot of changes to reduce our impact on the

environment and realize numerous green living concepts. We

no longer provide single-use bathroom amenities. Instead, we

provide guests with shower gel and shampoo in the same top-

quality dispensers used in Hotel Allegrini in Italy. We also stopped

routinely changing the bedding and towels everyday for our long-

term guests. �is has greatly reduced our water consumption as it

saves us from washing more than 300,000 sheets and towels every

year. We also built a garbage compactor that can compress six

trucks worth of garbage tightly enough to be carried by just one

truck. �e hotel boasts over 3,000sqm of green space and utilizes

green building concepts such as a rainwater harvesting system.

The surrounding trees and gardens offer abundant shade, while

�oor-to-ceiling windows allow natural sunlight to �ow in, creating

a harmonious symbiosis of architecture and nature. Landis Inn

Chuhu proudly sets the benchmark for ecofriendly accommodation

as the lushest green hotel in Hsinchu City.

Going forward, Landis Inn Chuhu will continue to

從大門口的羅蜜樹、廊道間的紅柳、餐廳內的蝴蝶蘭、大眾溫泉外的造景還能一瞥靜謐的睡蓮，在

飯店的各個角落不難發現各種植栽；由春季開始，因花期的差異，花園裡的昭和櫻、八重櫻、吉野

櫻和山櫻花輪番登場，陽明山中國麗緻總能帶給來訪的客人千變萬化的視覺饗宴 ! 更吸引了不少攝

影大師、媒體記者慕名而至。在飯店花園還能不時發現陽明山保育鳥類台灣藍鵲和獼猴採食樹梅的

蹤影。

櫻花生長環境的土壤需為酸性 (pH5.8~6.2) 及擁有良好的排水，且不能有硬體地基阻礙根部的伸展；

此外，會議室內的植物牆上散布台灣原生種的山蘇花和鐵線蕨，當葉片老化或有病蟲危害時，同仁

需要適時修剪葉子，增加其通風、減少病蟲害發生並且增加光合作用。

一年四季，同仁不畏天氣嚴峻、不辭辛勞，從修剪、移植、施肥、草坪整地，甚至工具設備維護，

耐心照顧每一株在陽明山中國麗緻不可或缺的重要成員，因為專業及細心，使得飯店融入更多生命

力和溫度，而隨處見得的綠意，是我們為前來的客人所精心備妥的歡迎式。

Situated inside the verdant Yangmingshan National Park, the Landis

The lawn and garden area beside the hotel echo this natural beauty.

�roughout the year, the �ora of our hotel and the mountains interplay

like a symphony as the colors change with the four seasons.

Landis Resort Yangmingshan is teeming with greenery. You can see

breadfruit trees at the hotel entrance, red willows along the walkway,

and moth orchids in the restaurant. You can even glimpse water lilies

from our public hot spring baths. In fact, you’ll �nd plants in just about

every corner of the hotel. During the Cherry Blossom season, sakura

trees blooming with beautiful �owers in the backyard garden. �e good

landscape of Landis Resort Yangmingshan attracts many photographers

and media to take pictures of the sight. �ey also get to capture shots of

Taiwanese macaques and bluebirds.

�e soil in which the cherry blossom trees grow needs to be acidic (pH

5.8~6.2) and has good drainage, and no hard foundations can hinder

the extension of the roots.In addition, Asplenium Antiquum (mountain

fern) and Adiantum capillus-veneris (maidenhair fern) are spread on the

plant walls in the conference room. To keep them looking their best, our

gardening team must regularly prune the leaves, watch out for insects and

diseases, and ensure suitable air and lighting to increase its photosynthesis.

Regardless of weather, sunshine, soil, or how hard the work, our hotel

associates work diligently year round. From pruning, transplanting,

fertilizing, and tilling, to maintaining tools and equipment, they patiently

care for our bevy of plants. �eir professional skills and a�entive a�itude

今年花蓮發生大地震，造成當地經濟及民生的極大衝擊，

各界也陸續湧進許多關心與資源，而就在當花蓮救災告一

段落的 2 月初，在台北亞都麗緻大飯店工作超過四年的資

深房務人員，一如往常推著備品車，前往已辦理退房的客

房進行打掃，由於等待入住的外國客人眾多，只有短短不

到 15 分鐘的時間能夠整理一間房間。

當她一間間推開客房房門，熟練地收拾垃圾、更換被套鋪

床單、清潔浴室、補充備品，而就當她正在準備整理其中

一間房間的桌面時，目光不經意被桌上一張 A4 大小的紙

張吸引住。

那是張熟悉不過，由飯店提供給客人的常用信紙，但是上

面卻用原子筆畫下台灣地圖，周遭圍繞的全台灣各地的代

表景點，從台北 101 大樓、平溪天燈、高雄龍虎塔、九份

山城等，而圖片的中央則是仔細描繪而成的四個中文：台

灣加油。

經過了解後，才知道入住這間客房的是一對日本母女，

即便知道數天前在花蓮才發生嚴重的地震及災情，不但

沒有取消赴台旅遊行程，還在離去前留下這張令人動容

的速寫，為身陷震災的台灣人打氣；而後畫下插畫的女

兒村上小姐，也主動在自己的社群平台分享圖片，並感

性以英文寫下「 I love Taiwan, I love Taiwanese」。

此事意外成為媒體報導的焦點，不僅超過十幾萬人次主

動瀏覽相關新聞，更吸引日本 NHK 主動訪問身為藝術

創作者的村上小姐，而她則表示沒想到自己的畫會引發

話題，只是因為在台灣受到很多人的親切對待，所以想

用自己能力所及的方式，表達為台灣加油的心情。

就如同無數曾在飯店發生的故事，雖然僅是一位旅客住

宿期間乍現的靈感，並隨手以便籤畫下插圖，卻注入客

人真摯的心意，不僅感動第一線的服務人員，也讓每一

位台灣人感受到來自國際的溫暖關心。

On February 6, 2018, a massive earthquake struck Hualien, greatly

impacting the local economy and community. People from all walks of

life o�ered support and resources. It was a di�cult time for the people

of Taiwan.

A few days later, as the relief efforts were ending, one of our senior

housekeeping sta� was busily cleaning the rooms at the Landis Taipei

Hotel. Due to the large number of foreign guests checking in and out,

she had less than 15 minutes to clean and prepare each room. She

went from room to room, emptying trash, changing linens, cleaning

bathrooms, and replenishing amenities. As she was tidying the desk in

one of the rooms, she inadvertently noticed a piece of A4 paper.

It was a piece of the familiar hotel stationery that we provide

guests. However, someone had drawn a compassionate image

on it: a silhouette of Taiwan, surrounded by popular spots in

Taiwan, including Taipei 101, the Pingxi Lantern festival, the

Dragon and Tiger pagodas of Kaohsiung, and the mountain

town of Jiufen. At the center of the picture were four Chinese

characters: Tai’wan jia you – "Taiwan, be strong!"

Later we learned that the Japanese mother and daughter

that stayed in the room had almost cancelled their trip as the

earthquake happened just days before their flight. Despite the

disaster, they still came to Taiwan. Before checking out, the

daughter Miss Murakami drew this moving sketch to inspire

the Taiwanese people who were a�ected by the earthquake. She

then shared the picture on her social media account and wrote

in English, "I love Taiwan. I love Taiwanese."

Miss Murakami’s drawing quickly gained media coverage in

Taiwan and Japan. More than 100,000 people viewed her post,

and Japan’s NHK broadcasting channel even visited Miss

Murakami for an interview. She said she never expected her

drawing to garner so much attention. But because so many

people treated her and her mother with kindness during their

trip to Taiwan, she wanted to use her artistic talents to wish

Taiwan a speedy recovery.

Many stories transpire in a hotel everyday. This was only one

guest’s moment of inspiration, and luckily she found a moment

to capture her sincere feelings in this moving illustration. But her

drawing did more than grab the a�ention of our housekeeping

sta�. It touched the hearts of each and every Taiwanese person,

as they felt the warm support and concern of the international

community.

In his poem "Song of Fuyu," Song Dynasty poet Su Shi writes of abalone, "Just one is worth more than a thousand pounds of gold." Eaten for thousands of years by humans all over the world, abalone is highly prized for its nutritional content. �e body easily absorbs its abundant proteins, boosting the immune system and improving skin elasticity. Abalone is also rich in calcium, iron, iodine, vitamin A, and other vitamins and minerals bene�cial to our bodies.

For our seasonal dish "Seafood Waltz," we pair fresh abalone with prawn. �e two are blanched and then dipped in an ice bath, preserving their delicious natural texture. Every summer, a scene of bounty and beauty emerges all around. �e spirit of the heavens intermingles

with the soul of the earth, as everything grows and �lls with life. To celebrate the arrival of summer,

our head chef at Tian He restaurant in Landis Resort Yangmingshan created "Pastoral Trio" –

a special dish of seasonal vegetables chayote shoots, garden asparagus, and mung bean sprouts.

Also known as Chinese asparagus, chayote shoots are a highly nutritious wild vegetable

said to lower internal body heat, relieve fever, and detoxify the respiratory system and

intestinal tract. A light dressing and dried scallop �oss �nish the dish. Natural �avors

Historical journey around Hsinchu City漫遊竹塹

【周益記】在新竹熱鬧的北門大街上，聳立一座有著

三大開間立面的老屋。寫白磁磚拼成的門

面，加上磨石子做成的山牆，如此的外表

很難讓人不注意它。這間老屋是周家的大

房子，隨著時間更迭這裡已有數十個年頭

人去樓空。不過 2011 年時，現任的屋主決

定將這座老房子重新修復，讓它可以好好

的被保存下來，隔了兩年正式指定為新竹

市的市定古蹟。或許再過幾年，我們就可

以看見它華麗的身影以更親切的姿態，重

回到北門街上。

�e Zhou family B.S. House& Heritage SiteOn Hsinchu’s bustling Beimen Street stands an old house. A facade of white tiles and five large stone gables make it hard to miss. Once the grand home of the Zhou family, this old building sat abandoned for many years. However, in 2011, the owner decided to restore the old house so that its history could be properly preserved. After two years of renovation work, it was officially designated as a historic monument in Hsinchu City. A visit to Kendama StudioEstablished at the end of 2014, Kendama Studio recently set up shop at No. 6 Chang'an Street in Hsinchu. They painted and reorganized the old house into a cultural space to act as a gateway to Hsinchu. Now they frequently host lectures, workshops, and other activities, and even rent the space for private parties. The studio independently publishes "Pork Ball Soup," a quarterly magazine covering life in Hsinchu and acting as a sort of city guidebook. Committed to developing alternative ways to explore Hsinchu, Kendama Studio of fers guided tours, c lasses on literature and history, trips to Chinese medicine shops, and other ways to discover the city of Hsinchu. Aiming to give visitors a deeper appreciation of the city, they believe that careful study and reexamination are the best ways to transform and improve a city.

【見域工作室】位於新竹長安街 6 號，工作室創立於 2014 年底，今年在長

安街租下老屋後粉刷整理，活化為文化空間，期望成為認

【長安街】這條街道見證了新竹市區的發展，曾經轟動熱鬧，小小一條巷子就

開了三間戲院，直到夜幕低垂都還人潮湧動。電影熱潮轉向後，這

裡的氛圍逐漸轉型，歷經一個世代的青草鋪、老餅鋪留了下來，不

僅堅持著傳統的技藝，更與在地人的生活緊密的連結在一起，另外

還有許多新來到這小巷落腳的店家。不約而同地這些店都飄出陣陣

香氣，從餅鋪到青草店，再到濃濃的咖啡香，這些香氣交織成今日

的長安街。

【中央路日式街屋】日治時期在新竹市留下許多老房子，直到今日還是可以在市區隨處

可見這些超過百年的身影。在中央路接近東門街路口，留下一排紅

磚立面的街屋，這是在百年前新竹最常見的街屋形式，兩層樓的街

屋一樓立面是做成圓拱造型，而二樓則是水平的三開窗，身處騎樓

抬頭一看，還能發現木樑整齊的排列於頂上，撐起二樓的樓板。而

目前市區只剩下這裡還有九連棟的街屋，可以讓我們試著感受跨越

百年時空的歷史場景。

Chang'an StreetThe area around Chang'an Street witnessed firsthand the development of Hsinchu City. Many years ago, three movie theaters opened on this small street, and this neighborhood was filled with people even well after sunset. But when the movie craze passed, the atmosphere here gradually transformed. A generation later, old shops remain, upholding the ways of traditional crafts, closely linked with the lives of the local people. Many new shops have opened here, including bakeries and produce shops. Now the aroma of roasting coffee mingles with the other smells on today's Chang'an Street.

Japanese homes on Zhongyang RoadMany old houses built in the period of Japanese rule are still standing in Hsinchu City. A row of such houses remains on Zhongyang Road, close to the intersection of Dongmen Street. Typical of houses built in Hsinchu 100 years ago, these homes are easily spotted, as they are just two stories tall and feature red brick facades. The first floor typically features a round arch. On the second floor is a row of three windows. In the arcade, look up and you’ll notice wooden beams neatly arranged to support the second floor. At present, there are only nine other blocks of such historical buildings left in downtown Hsinchu City. Come appreciate this historical scene from 100 years ago.

分的長頸鹿，是馥麗坊西點副主廚Ken耗時4天所精心打造而成的，白巧

We recently exhibited the works of Taiwanese artist Luo Kuang Wei at the

Pause Landis Wulai. An internationally renowned artist, he has shown his

work in Canada, Sichuan, Singapore, Italy, Shanghai, Ningbo, and Germany. In

2016, he visited Italy to exhibit "Love & Peace" – a salt sculpture he made

of the Virgin Mary holding the baby Jesus. Pope Francis personally met

with Luo at the Vatican and said he was deeply impressed by the sculpture.

Pause Landis Wulai has new exhibitions for you to enjoy every quarter!

We currently have three different handcrafted chocolate animals on display: a giraffe,

a penguin, and a frog. Thinking they are a toy or a doll, children love these adorable

chocolate designs. Good thing they melt in your mouth and not in your hands! Each

figure is carefully carved from white chocolate. It took four days for sous chef Ken

at our Arome bakery to make the 65cm-tall, 32cm-wide giraffe. He first poured

white chocolate into a variety of different size molds. Then the parts were carefully

assembled into one piece. Finally, the colors were painted on until it became the

perfect combination of dessert and art.

日本資深創作歌手杉本真人與弟子朝海智幸和演歌女歌手森山愛子下榻台北亞都麗緻大

飯店，除發行個人專輯外，杉本真人更先後為美空雲雀、森進一、石川小百合、五木

Japanese singer-songwriter Masato Sugimoto, along with singers Chaohae Koshihide and Aiko Moriyama, stayed at The Landis Taipei while in Taiwan for a concert. On top of many solo albums, Sugimoto has recorded with a long list of other famous ballad singers, including Hibari Misora, Shinichi Mori, Sayuri Ishikawa, Hiroshi Itsuki, Sachiko Kobayashi, Fuyumi Sakamoto, and Hosokawa Takashi.
