The title of his thesis is “Grasses of the Neelum Valley, Azad Jammu and Kashmir: Systematics, anatomy and physiology”.

14. Mr. Asim Faraz, Regd. No. 2002-ag-714, a PhD scholar of the Department of Livestock Management has successfully defended his PhD dissertation at university level on 15-12-2014. The title of his research was “Growth Performance of Marecha Camelid (Camelus dromedarius) Reared under Different Management System”. His presentation was well organized and his findings have been thoroughly discussed by supervisory committee, Faculty members, postgraduates and other audience. The supervisory committee found it acceptable and recommends the submission of his final PhD dissertation.

15. Miss Madiha Ramzan, Regd. No. 2007-ag-2301, PhD student of the Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics has successfully defended her PhD synopsis titled “Genetics of various yield indices of maize in water deficit environments” in the Postgraduate Lab. on 13-12-2014. As per suggestions given by the teachers/participants during presentation of the synopsis a minor change has been made in the title as “Genetics of various yield parameters of maize in water deficit environments”.

16. Ms. Khunsa Khakwani, Regd. No. 99-ag-1125, PhD student of the Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics has successfully defended her PhD synopsis titled “Development and genetics of maize doubled haploid inbred lines” in the Postgraduate Lab. on 13-12-2014.

AUCTION NOTICE 1. The Thirty Four (34) un-serviceable articles of the Warden Office will be sold by public auction on 27-

12-2014 Saturday at 10:00 am in the front of the stores of the Babar Hall. Interested persons are invited to take part in the bid. The price will be realized at the spot and delivery of the auctioned articles will be handed over after obtaining the approval of the competent authority. Under section 236A income Tax Ordinance, 2001, advance Tax 10% of the Property/goods being auctioned will be collected from successful bidder and will be deposited in the Government treasury through Income Tax Challan.

2. Forty Kanals in square No. 24 & six kanals in square No. 27 of Sarsoon Fodder will be sold by open auction on 20-12-2014 at 10:00 am at PARS Farm, Jhang Road, Faisalabad. The persons, who are interested, may come & bid. One third of the total price will be recovered on the spot and the remaining amount will be received after the approval of competent authority.
