Vocational Student Competency Can Compete Global The Government will continue to improve vocational guidance of students achieving competency in national level so that they can scent a nation and compete in the world. Joko Sutrisno, Director of Development of Vocational Education Ministry, in Jakarta, Wednesday (2 / 7), said, in ASEAN Skill Competition which was six times followed by Indonesia vocational students, achievement Indonesia continues to increase. In fact, Indonesia is able to achieve a championship winner. CMS could, Creating Labor Ready for Use Not easy to prepare ready-made workforce, ready to work, but the effort department of education in this Direktoran Vocational Education Development Direktorean General management basis and Secondary Education Department of National Education (dit-PSMK) can do coaching for vocational programs could be under my observation is particularly appropriate actions related to the number of elite unemployment, unemployment of College Graduates, unemployment is caused by the amount of labor college graduates who were not ready to use. Vocational programs can be truly able to link and match the needs of labor market, more better if could also be prepared to support the overseas labor market that skilled, not only as domestic helpers domestic workers as workers for so long. General Objectives

Preparing students to become productive human beings, able to work independently, to fill jobs in dental health services and the mouth and other businesses as an intermediate level manpower in accordance with the competencies in the chosen skill programs. 2). Preparing students to be able to choose a career, tenacious and persistent in a competent, adapting the work environment, and develop a professional attitude in the field of expertise of interest. 3). Equip students with science, technology, and art, to be able to develop themselves in the future either independently or through the levels of higher education. 4). Equip students with the competencies that match the selected skills programs.

Competing in the World of Work Prepare skilled workers and ready to work was not easy. Secondary vocational schools (SMK) ambition is to answer the challenge. But to achieve it, CMS must hold private to increase quality.

The availability of employment with the amount of labor is not balanced. CMS as one of the educational institution to try to bridge the two. With a wide range of subjects that are available, CMS believed capable to contribute in preparing graduates ready for work.

This is not a mere fantasy. Vocational graduates proved to be better prepared for work. Data issued by the National Education Ministry in 2007 showed that approximately 42% have vocational graduates find jobs. As many as 15% continue their education while working and 12% who continue their education without working disambi. Percentage of work is certainly greater if compared with the general high school graduates (high school).

In 2007 only about 32% are working and 17% are working while in college, while high school graduates continue their education around 31%. This shows that vocational competence in entering the working world better than high school graduates.

The fact that increasingly seem to make vocational education a favorite destination after high school. Students choose vocational interest was growing. In contrast to what happened in the previous decade, when CMS often get a negative rating. Some regard it as expensive school or vocational graduates do not have the chance to college.

Now the people have a different take. Proven ratio of students who choose to continue their education after taking vocational secondary education continues to increase. Current ratio of vocational and high school students throughout Indonesia is almost the same, namely 46:54.

As recognized by the Director of Development of Vocational Education Ministry Joko Sutrisno. According to him, in the last three years the public interest to enter the CMS increased significantly. He told the 2005 academic year? 2006 the ratio of SMK-SMA is only 30:70.

This phenomenon occurs because people's perceptions and expectations of a good CMS. "We always deliver what and how the CMS actually. We also hope that, with a better understanding of the CMS, the public can make your favorite CMS as a continuing education institution," said Joko.

Government through the Ministry of National Education also gave more attention to the CMS. MONE ads served in various mass media about the CMS, for example.

Minister of National Education (Education Minister) Bambang Sudibyo when visiting the Student Competency Competition (BLM) National Level SMK-17 and SMK Creative Exhibition 2009 in Jakarta (21 / 5) said that the government through the Education Ministry is committed to improving the quality of vocational students in all Indonesia. Commitment raised for vocational graduates can be absorbed in various jobs and reduce unemployment.

Form of the government's commitment to increase the number of CMS in the country since 2004. According to the Minister Bambang, the ratio of initial comparison of CMS with the high school at 30:70 and end of the year 2008 the ratio became 47:53 ratio. The Minister was optimistic that if the program is run consistently, then the ratio later in 2014 the number of vocational high school and became 2:1. In other words each have one high school in one area, then there must be two CMS.

Consequences of the increased interest is also the importance of completeness of the available infrastructure. Among them, the government is doing to improve the quality vocational services to provide new classrooms and new schools. Procurement and repair of equipment in the CMS.

In 2009, for the CMS prepared to Rp2 trillion of funds. Compare this with the high school who only Rp1, 5 trillion. Vocational development funds is higher than the new high school was established in the last two years. To attract people into the CMS, various departments have been prepared. Various departments were prepared to form oriented graduates who are ready to work.

Unlike the public high schools that provide limited options. At CMS, the various departments can be chosen students. There are tourism groups, businesses, agriculture, shipping, technology and industry, business and management, fisheries, chemicals, and others. The presence of CMS was also felt closer to the community, especially the existing departments in the school contribute to the area. 2 SMK Subang, West Java, for example. Schools that have obtained ISO 14001:2004 certificate optimize natural resources there. These schools have an advantage in the field of organic agriculture and fortunately these schools also received support from farmers in surrounding areas.

To improve the quality and the work of the students, CMS works with colleges that have the same commitment. For instance Leather Technology Academy in Yogyakarta became a partner in producing handicrafts CMS is indeed one of the tourist area advantages.

There are other higher education institutions that become partners of cooperation CMS, call eg Chemical Analyst Academy (AKA) Bogor, Vocational Education and Development Center (VEDC) Malang, and others. Of course they are partnering with CMS type.

MONE has made cooperation vocational and similar institutions. Vocational colleges tourism with tourism, for example. So also with agriculture and others. The existence of inter-educational cooperation has considered a large enough role. Making a full CMS appeal to students. Especially if they are oriented to work after school there.
