Through the use of creative games, puppetry, masks, arts & crafts and more,four and five year olds take their favorite fairy tales and nursery rhymes and turn them into their very own plays. KALEIDOSCOPE KIDS (1st – 3rd Grade)

This class will begin to

REALITY BITES (7th Gr.–High School)
Our 90 minute classes focus on more specific acting tech-niques includingvoice and articulation, projection, vocal inflection, inner monologues, characterdevelopment, and audition-ing; through the use of acting exercises, theatergames, video tapes and per-formance. ACTING WITH ACCENTS(9th-12th Grade)This class will survey basic techniques for learning and applying stage dialects. Stu-dents will explore the Inter-national Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) as the foundation of study. The following dialects will be learned: British RP, Irish, Cockney, American Southern, New York-Brook-lyn and more. Students will have several performance opportunities within the class to showcase dialects. Instructor: Christina Forshey

This fast-paced acting class
is designed for actors of all
skill levels and will focus on
the development of the mod-
ern-day Shakespearean actor.

A Journey through the Art
of Auditioning
(ages 12 and up)
This workshop provides
a basic knowledge of the
auditioning process, while
instilling confidence for
future auditions. You will be
taught to feel aware of your
body, break down songs and
monologues to make them
your own, identify the proper
etiquette for an audition,
understand the appropriate
preparation involved, and
more. This class is geared
toward the individual who
wants to pursue theatre,
whether in a school play,
community theatre or as a
professional! Class will
include: helpful hints and
tips to use when audition-
ing, personal assessment,
and constructive feedback.
Finally, all students will
receive a working headshot
and resume to take home at
the end of the day.

AMERICANSThe talented performers of
the Young Americans will
bring the newest version
of their National Music
Outreach Tour to Mainstage
on November 10th - 12th.
In the fall of ‘08, over
350 Mainstage registrants
sang and danced their way
through this impressive three
day performance workshop
in voice, dance, and all
aspects of performing arts.
The event was capped off by
a wonderfully entertaining
two-hour public show by
both our kids and the Young
Americans. This year’s
workshop will concentrate
on voice, dance, and perfor-
mance techniques under the
helpful eyes of the Young
Americans and their staff.
The workshops will be held
at Camden County College,
in Blackwood. Demand for
this year’s Young Americans
National Music Outreach
Tour promises to be great.
