Éstas son algunas expresiones que podemos utilizar durante las clases de Educación Física.

Instrucciones – Instructions.

- Vamos a empezar la sesión de EF = We´re going to start our PE lesson

- Guardad silencio, por favor = Be quiet, please!

- Poned atención y Escuchad la explicación = Pay attention and listen to the

explanation.

- Contar el número de alumnos en inglés =One, two, three,…

- Contar los segundos que faltan en voz alta en inglés =Three, two, one,…

Organización - Organitation for games.

- Permanece en el centro = Stand in the middle.

- No paséis de la línea = Don´t cross the line.

- Detrás de la línea = Stay behind the line.

- Sentaos en el suelo = Sit on the ground.

- Hacer una fila/círculo = Make a line/ circle.

- Uno detrás de otro = One behind the other.

- En parejas cara a cara = Stand face to face.

- En parejas espalda con espalda = Stand back and back.

- Haced dos líneas, una aquí y otra allí =Make two lines, along …one here and one

there.

- Ve un poco hacia delante. =Come forward a bit.

- Da dos pasos hacia atrás =Take two (big / small) steps (onwards / backwards) a bit.

- Es mi turno = It ´s my / your / his / her turn.

- Ganamos / El ganador es=We won. // The winner is... // The winners are ...

- ¡¡Preparados, listos, ya! = Ready, steady, go

- Vamos a hacer dos grupos =We´re going to divide the class into two groups

Órdenes –Orders.

- Cambiaos de ropa = Change your clothes.

- Atadse los cordones = do you shoelaces up

- Salta =Skip // Jump

- Sigues jugando / estás eliminado = You´re in / out.

- ¡Trampa! ¡No hagáis trampa! = Cheat! // Don´t cheat!

- Date prisa = Hurry up¡

- Ve a la esquina =Go to the corner

- ¡Vamos, vamos, vamos¡ =Go, go, go

- Pásame la pelota =Pass me the ball

- Acercaos = Gather round¡

- Salgamos al patio =Let´s go out to the playground

- Id al círculo =Go to the circle

- Ponte en la cola= Join the queue

- Vayamos al gimnasio =Let´s go to the gym

Finalizando la clase - Ending your lesson.

- ¡Venga enseguida! =Come right away.

- Hoy no tenemos más tiempo =We don´t have any more time today …

- Es todo por hoy = Ok, that´s all for now / today.

- Muy bien hecho =Very well done!

- ¡Bien hecho! =Well done!

- ¡Excelente! =Excellent!

VERBS OF MOVEMENT

They are very important to describe all the exercises we do in class:

To stand: estar de pie  (to stand up: levantarse)

To sit: sentarse

To lie: echarse

To walk: caminar

To run: correr

To tilt: inclinar

To turn: girar

To bend: doblar

To sprint: correr rápido

To slow down: ir más despacio

To hurry up: darse prisa 

To pass: pasar

To receive: recibir

To throw: lanzar

To carry  (or to transport): transportar

To push: empujar

To pull: tirar (de una cosa)

To form a line: formar una fila o línea

To form a semi-circle: formar un semicírculo

To form pairs: hacer parejas

To form groups of three/four... : hacer grupos de tres o cuatro

 

PREPOSITIONS

Prepositions are also very important to describe movements. Here  you have some examples:
