Control unit
The controlpanel is divided into four function group s:
1. S ix-digit LED display.
2. Keys for changing param eters and shifting display
functions..
3. Indicator lam ps.
4. Keys for local operation.
Alldata is displayed on a six-digit LE D. The LED can
show one item ofoperating data continuously during
norm aloperation. There are three indicator lam ps
for indication ofAC line connection (O N ), w arning
(W AR N IN G ) and alarm (ALA R M ). M ostof the ad-
justable frequency drive param eters can be changed
via the controlpanel. This function can be pro-
gram m ed as Lockedin param eter 018,Lock for data
changes, to prevent tam pering or localdata entry.
Control keys
[QUICK MENU]allow s access to the param eters in
the Q uick m enu. This m enu is for initial setup ofthe
drive. The [Q U IC K M EN U ] key is also used to can-
cela change of param eter values and to toggle
betw een D isplay m ode and Q uick m enu m ode.
[CHANGE DATA] is used to change a setting. The
[C H AN G E DATA ] key is also used to con rm a pa-
ram eter change.
[+] and [-]are used to scrollthrough param eters and
to change param eter values. These keys are also
used in D isplay m ode to select a value for display.
The[QUICK MENU]+[+] keys pressed at the sam e
tim e give access to allparam eters by entering M enu
m ode. See Menu mode.
[STOP/RESET] is used to stop the connected m otor
or to reset the ad justable frequency drive after a trip.
The key can be selected as A ctive [1] or N otactive
[0]via param eter 014 Localstop/reset. In D isplay
m ode, the display w ill ash ifthe stop function is ac-
tivated.
NOTE!
If the [STO P/R ESET] key has b een selected
as Not active[0] in param eter 014 Local stop/
resetand there is no stop com m and via the digital
inputs or serial com m unication, the m otor can only
be stopped by disconnecting the AC line voltage to
the adjustable frequency drive.
[START] is used for starting the adjustable fre-
quency drive. It is alw ays available, but the [START]
key cannot override a stop com m and issued through
term inal 27 or a digital com m unication bus (see con-
nection exam ples).
Manual initialization
To m anually initialize the adjustable frequency drive
to factory default settings, rst disconnect AC line
voltage. H old the [Q U IC K M E N U] + [+]+ [C H AN G E
DATA ] keys dow n w hile sim ultaneously reconnecting
the AC line voltage. R elease the keys. The drive
has now been program m ed for factory settings.

Automatic motor tuning
Autom atic m otor tuning (AM T) m easures stator re-
sistance R S w ithout the m otor axle turning. This
m eans that the m otor is not delivering any torque.
AM T can optim ize adjustm ent ofthe adjustable fre-
quency drive to the m otor. For bestpossible tuning,
it is recom m ended that AM T b e perform ed on a cold
m otor. R epeated AM T runs can cause m otor heat-
ing, resulting in an increase in the stator resistance. As a rule, how ever, this is notcritical. (See param e-
ter 107, Automatic motor tuning, AMT, description
for m ore detailbefore running AM T.)
Perform AM T in accordance w ith the follow ing proce-
dure:
1. P ress the [Q UIC K M EN U ] key to enter Q uick

the LC P controlpanel, one ofthe digital inputs orthe
serial com m unication port.

Function:
The quick-stop ram p-dow n tim e is the deceleration
tim e from the rated m otor frequency to 0 H z, pro-
vided no overvoltage arises in the inverter because
ofgenerating operation ofthe m otor,or if the gener-
ated current exceeds the current lim it in param eter
221 Current limit ILIM.Q uick-stop is activated via one
ofthe digital inputs or the serial com m unication.

10.0 H z
Function:
Jog frequency fJO Gm eans a xed outputfrequency
that the adjustable frequency drive supplies to the
m otor w hen the Jog function is activated. Jog can
be activated via the digital inputs, serial com m unica-
tion or via the LC P controlpanel, on the cond ition
that this is active in param eter 015 Local jog.
Description of choice:
Set the required frequency.
214214 Reference function
(REFERENCE FUNCTION)
Value:
Sum (SU M ) [0]
R elative (R ELA TIVE) [1]
External/preset (EXTER N AL/PR ESET) [2]
Function:
It is possible to de ne how preset references are to
be added to the other references; for this purpose,
use Sumor Relative. It is also possible by using theExternal/presetto select w hether a shift betw een ex-
ternal references and preset references is required.
External reference is the sum ofthe analog refer-
ences, pulse references and any references from
serial com m unication.
Description of choice:
IfSum[0]is selected, one ofthe adjusted preset ref-
erences (param eters 215-218 Preset reference) is
sum m arized as a percentage ofthe reference range
(R efM IN-R efM AX), added to the other external refer-
ences.IfRelative[1] is selected, one ofthe added preset
references (param eters 215-218 Preset reference) is
sum m arized as a percentage ofthe sum of present
external references.
IfExternal/preset[2]is selected, it is possible via a
digital inp ut to shift betw een external references or
preset references. Preset references w illbe a per-
centage value ofthe reference range.
NOTE!
If Sum or R elative is selected, one ofthe
preset references w illalw ays be active. If the
preset references are to be w ithoutin uence, they
m ust be set to 0% (factory setting).

Function:
Four different preset references can be program m ed
in param eters 215-218 Preset reference.
The preset reference is stated as a percentage ofthe reference range (R efM IN-R efM AX) or as a per-
centage ofthe other external references, depending
on the choice m ade in param eter 214 Reference
function. The choice betw een preset references can
be m ade via the digital inputs or via serial com m uni-
cation.

219219 Catch up/Slow down reference
(CATCH UP/SLWDWN)
Value:
0.00 - 100% of the given reference 0.00%
Function:
In this param eter, the percentage value can be set
w hich w illeither be ad ded to or deducted from the
rem ote-controlled references.
The rem ote-controlled reference is the sum ofpreset
references, analog references, pulse reference and
any references from serial com m unication.
Description of choice:
IfCatch upis active via a digital input, the percent-
age value in param eter 219 Catch up/Slow down
referencew illbe added to the rem ote-controlled ref-erence.
IfSlow downis active via a digitalinput, the percent-
age value in param eter 219 Catch up/Slow down
referencew illbe deducted from the rem ote con-
trolled reference.
221221 Current limit, ILIM
(CURRENT LIMIT)
Value:
0 - XXX.X % ofpar. 105 160 %
Function:
In this param eter, the m axim um outputcurrent ILIMis
set. The factory-set value corresponds to the m axi-
m um outputcurrent IM AX. If the current lim it is to be
used as m otorprotection, set the rated m otorcur-
rent. If the current lim it is set above 100% (the ratedoutput current of the drive, IIN V .), the unit can only
handle a load interm ittently,i.e. for shortperiods at
a tim e. A fter the load has been higher than IIN V .,it
m ust be ensured thatfor a period the load is low er
than IIN V .. Please note that if the current lim it is set
at a low er value than IIN V .,the acceleration torque
w illbe reduced to the sam e extent.
Description of choice:
Set the required m axim um output current ILIM.
223223 Warning: Low current, ILOW
(WARN. CURRENT LO)
Value:

a w arning is given.
Param eters 223-228 Warning functionsare out of
function during ram p-up after a startcom m and and
after a stop com m and or during stop. The w arningfunctions are activated w hen the outputfrequency
