4.1 InstallationwithoutBracket

Steps:1). Pushtheslidesonbothsidesofthedeviceto

theotherendstodetachthemountcoverfromthebody.

2). Separatethemountcoverfromthebody liketheimageontheleft

3). Drill the holes on the ceiling based on theinstallationtemplate,inserttheplasticanchorsinto the four holes, and align the plasticanchors with the holes on themount cover.Then, attach the mount cover by using theM4x30screwsincludedinthepackage.Tightenthescrewsforthefirmattachment.

Steps:4). ConnecttheLANcablefromtheceilingtothe

LAN connector on the device for the PoEconnection.

5). Connectthesafetywireonthedevicetothesafety wire bracket on the mount cover byreferringtotheimageontheleft.

6). Attachthedevicetothemountcoverontheceilingbyaligningtheslideguidewiththeslide.

Theangleofthedevicecanbeadjustableonlywhenyouattachthedevicetothepan/tiltbracket.Usingapan/tiltbracketishighlyrecommendedtocoverawiderviewingrange(widerFOV)fromthedevice.Belowaretheinstructionsfortheangleadjustmentofthepan/tiltbracket:

Tilt-Loosenthebolt(�)withtheLwrenchincludedinthebracketpackage.- Adjust the tilt angle, and fix the joint with the Lwrench.Pan-Loosenthebolts (�,�)withtheLwrench includedinthebracketpackage.-Performthepanningadjustment,andfixthe jointswiththeLwrench.

6 IdentifyingtheCameraonyourNetwork6.1 IdentifyingtheCameraIPAddress

To begin viewing video or configuring a camera’s network settings from the camera’s web/browserinterface, the usermust first identify the device’s IP address. The default IP address of the camera is192.168.XXX.XXX.Thedefaultsubnetmaskis255.255.0.0.

Onsimple,privatenetworks,ausercanmanuallyidentifytheIPaddressofthecamerabyconvertingthecamera’sMACaddresshexvalues,however,thealternativemethod,whichisrecommendedby3xLOGIC,istousethe3xLOGIC(VSX-IP)CameraSetupUtility.TheutilitymakesdetectionandconfigurationofVISIXcamera’sinanynetworkenvironmentsimpleandeasy,regardlessofnetworkcomplexity.

Please install thecamerabeforecontinuing.Neitherof thebelowmethods requireanexternal internetconnection,however,thecameraandthePCbeingusedtocommunicatewithitmustresideonthesamenetwork.

MANUALLYIDENTIFYCAMERAIPADDRESS(MACADDRESSHEXCONVERSION)

Userscanaccess thecamera’sweb interfaceandsettingsusingadevice’sdefault IPaddress: IncaseofgenericprivatenetworkenvironmentwhereIPaddress192.168.XXX.XXXareused,thefollowingprocedurecanbeusedtoidentifyadevice’sIPaddress.

Steps:1). Convertthedevice’sMACaddresstotheIPaddress.RefertoSection10:Hexadecimal-Decimal

ConversionChart(theMACaddressofthedeviceiswrittenonthelabelaffixedtothesideorbottomofthedevice).

2). StarttheMicrosoft®InternetExplorerwebbrowserandentertheaddressofthedevice.

3). WebstreaminganddeviceconfigurationsaresupportedthroughActiveXprogram.WhentheActiveXinstallationwindowappears,authorizeandinstalltheActiveX.

Usingthe3xLOGICCamera(VSX-IP)SetupUtilityisrecommendedforanynetworkenvironmentasitwillfindallVISIXcamerasacrossmultiplesubnetmasks,utilizingmDNSsearchdiscovery.CamerainformationsuchasIPAddress,SubnetMaskandGatewaySettingswillbedisplayedandcanbeeditedfromthisutility.Tosearchforadevice,launchtheutility(VSXIPUtility.exe).

NOTE:VSXIPUtilityv9.40.0226ornewerisrequiredfordetectionoftheVX-VTOF-1.

Steps:1). ClickonDetectOnlineDevices/ChangeIPAddresstoproceedtotheOnlineDeviceswindow.

6.2 ViewVideoontheWebpage

1). WhenthebrowseraskstoinstalltheAxUMFsoftware,clickInstalltoproceed.

2). When the Setup installation pop-up window appears, click Install to proceed with rest ofinstallations.

NOTE:DependingonsystemOSandInternetExplorerversion,installationexperiencemaydifferfromoneanother.FiguresdescribedabovearefromWindows7,InternetExplorer9environment.

6.3 ViewVideoUsing3xLOGICCamera(VSXIP)SetupUtility

Toaccessavideopreviewviathe3xLOGICCameraSetupUtility,launchtheutilityandfollowthebelowinstructions.

Steps:

1). Fromtheutilitymainwindow,clicktheDetectOnlineDevices/ChangeIPAddressbutton.

2). SelecttheVX-VTOF-1fromthelistofdevicesandclickNext.

3). When the utility returns to themain interface,clicktheConnectbutton.

4). Allow sufficient time for the connection toinitializethenclicktheWebSettingsbutton.Yourdefault browser will open with a Live videopreviewfromthecamera.

CAUTION:WhetherdirectlyaccessingthestreamingvideobyenteringtheIPaddressintoabrowserortakingstepsthroughthe3xLOGICCameraSetupUtility,ActiveXisrequiredtobeinstalledforMicrosoft®InternetExplorertoaccesscompleteconfigurationprivileges.

6.4 VCAConfiguration

To configure video analytics for the device, refer to the VCAsys On-Line Help manual for thecorrespondingconfigurationinstructions.

6.5 Reboot

Performthefollowingprocedurestoresetyourdevice:Steps:

1). PresstheResetbutton,andholditfor2secondswhilethedeviceispoweredon.

2). Waitforthesystemtoreboot.

CAUTION:Pleasedonotpresstheresetbuttonformorethan2seconds.Otherwise,thecameramaybeswitchedtoitsfactorydefaultsettings.

6.6 FACTORYDEFAULT

Resettingthedevicebacktothefactorydefaultwillinitializealltheparametersofthedevice.However,thefactorydefaultperformedviathedevice’swebpageallowscertainmainparameterstobepreserved.

Steps:

1). Presstheresetbuttonfor10secondsbymakingsurethatbootingiscompleteonthedevice.

2). Waitforthesystemtoreboot.

WhatisSafeMode?

Theremaybecertainoccasionsthatyourcamerarepeatedlyfailstoboot.Then,yourcameramayentersafemodetoberecoveredfromtheoccasions.

WhatmayhavecausedSafeMode?

Herebelowarethemaintypicalcauses:

n Thepowersupplyiscontinuallyunpluggedcertaintimesinthemiddleofsystembooting.

n Thefirmwarefilesrequiredforsystembootingaredamaged.

n Thereareconflictsinthesystemsettings.
