Mission
To educate, connect, and advocate for North Carolina nonprofits.
Vision
To see North Carolina’s nonprofit sector be a vital leader in building and sustaining equitable and thriving communities.
e Collaboration: We partner with nonprofits, businesses, governments and individuals to strengthen our communities.
e Equity & Inclusion: We commit to helping nonprofits contribute to an equitable society.
e Excellence: We challenge ourselves to produce high-quality work that is responsive to feedback.
e Innovation: We adapt continually to remain valuable to our stakeholders.
The North Carolina Center for Nonprofits was founded in October 1990 after years of research pointed to the need for nonprofits to work together to strengthen their organizations and the nonprofit sector. We set our priorities with input from over 2,000 leaders in nonprofits, foundations, and businesses from all 100 NC counties, and seek ongoing input, to continuously evolve and prepare nonprofits and our sector for changes ahead.
