Event Platform We are working with Freeman, an event services company, to create a bold, captivating digital conference using the platform OnlineEvent® Pro. Presentations will be recorded prior to the event to give you the unique opportunity to engage with the audience while your presentation is streaming. The platform also offers live interactive components. AASLD will provide more detailed information on the features as we get closer to the event.

Attendee Engagement We encourage you to use a webcam while recording your presentation to promote engagement and a sense of connection with your audience. Test your webcam prior to your presentation and eliminate objects in the room that could distract the audience.

Most presentations will be featured as a TLMdX OnDemand product, and attendees will have access to the content for up to 90 days after the event.

TLMdX will offer a new and innovative meeting experience. Attendees will be able to interact and explore the educational and scientific sessions in a variety of ways. Below you find a brief description of each session type TLMdX has to offer and how attendees will interact with your content.

Attendees will have the unique opportunity to view the content online prior to engaging in a live interactive Q&A with a core group of organizers and speakers. Speakers are expected to participate in the live audience Q&A. The presentations will be highlighted as “on demand” during specific times in the meeting schedule for anyone interested in viewing the pre-recorded content.

Scientific Sessions Presentations for these sessions will be prerecorded and released at a scheduled time on the event program. During the presentation, attendees and speakers will be able to engage with one another using a text chat feature to pose and address questions in real-time. Content ChecklistWe strongly recommend that you download the AASLD TLMdX PowerPoint Presentation Template to create your slide presentation. The following requirements apply to all event presentations:

• Introduction. Provide a brief background slide on your experience and expertise in the field.

• Disclosure. Next, include a disclosure slide that indicates whether or not you have any conflicts of interest.

• Key take-away. Include at least one key take-away slide summarizing your key findings and recommendations in bullet points. Consider what key points you want the attendees to remember from your presentation.

• Copyright. If your slides contain images, illustrations, figures, tables, or text that has been published elsewhere or came from another source, you are responsible for obtaining permission from the copyright holder to include the material in your presentation and to authorize AASLD to record the presentation.

• HIPAA. Remove any patient-identifying information from your presentation or obtain permission to use the information. If your slides contain images or information about patients or other individuals, you are responsible for obtaining appropriate patient consent (including HIPAA authorization, if applicable) to include the material in your slides and to authorize AASLD to record the presentation. For more information, review the Health Information Privacy guidance from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Recording Checklist• Practice your presentation before

recording it on your computer to ensure the best possible delivery.

• Do not exceed your allotted presentation time. Use a timer to track yourself.

• Record in a quiet, well-lit room.

• Use a microphone, if possible. Even headphones with a microphone provide better sound quality than a computer mic.

• Use a stand-alone webcam or your computer’s built-in camera.

• Use a presentation recording program (PowerPoint)

• Once you have finished recording, save the file as an MP4 — the format needed for uploading to the presenter portion of OnlineEventPro which will be Orchestrate.

The deadline for submitting prerecorded presentations is October 15. There will be no exceptions, so plan accordingly.

Check your appearance. Things like stray hairs, wrinkled shirts, and bold patterns can be distracting. Help your audience focus on your science by limiting distractions.

Check your environment. Pay close attention to what is in the shot behind you. Messy piles, unmade beds, or pets can be distracting. Take a few moments to make sure the room behind you is tidy.

Check your shot. Have a source of light coming from behind the camera. A window to the side or behind you will cast shadows. Position your camera at eye-level to avoid giving your audience a view of your nostrils.
