Basic Aviation
• Experiment with fundamentals of aviation through activities

Advanced Aviation
• Cadets who wish to develop as a specialist in aviation
• Practice skills required to be an instructor and team leader in aviation activities
• Prepare for Glider or Power pilot courses
• Ages 14 – 16 (LVL 2-4)

Aerospace
• Learn about aerospace careers through astronomy, history, and aerospace activities
• Participate in engaging activities in cosmology, rocketry, and research projects
• Ages 13 – 15 (LVL 2/3)

Airport Operations
• Develop as a specialist cadet with skills and knowledge required to be an instructor or team leader for airport-operational activities
• Learn about roles in airport operations in the aviation industry

Survival
• Learn the skills and knowledge required to be an assistant instructor and syndicate leader for survival activities
• Opportunity to apply practical skills and participate in a backyard FTX

Restricted Operator’s Certificate (Maritime)
• Achieve the ROC(M) qualifications!
• Learn about Global Maritime Distress and Safety Systems, regulations and policy and Digital Selective Calling
• Cadets applying should already have the Pleasure Craft Operator Competency qualification
• Ages 14-16 (Completion of LVL 3)

Pleasure Craft Operator Competency
• Opportunity to achieve PCOC qualification
• Content includes a description of applicable regulation and policies, personal safety when on board a vessel, and recognizing navigational aids

Military Band - Basic
• Participate in music training and military band activities to support squadron music programs
• Learn to maintain a primary instrument, music theory, and rhythm skills
• Cadets must have an instrument to participate

Military Band - Intermediate
• Participate in music training and military band activities to support squadron music programs
• Activities include maintaining a primary instrument, music theory, and individual lessons

Military Band - Advanced
• Participate in advanced music training and military band activities in preparation to lead and instruct squadron music programs

Pipes and Drums - Basic
• Participate in music training and pipe band activities

Introduction to Fitness and Sports
• Opportunities to perform the duties of a fitness and sports specialist
• Learn the skills and knowledge to perform as a fitness and sports team leader
• Activities include personal fitness and healthy living, and leading recreational sports
• Ages 14 – 16 (Completion of PL 3)

6 weeks 5 days 3 hours + self-directed activities
Cadet Correspondent
• The Cadet Correspondent virtual workshop is a 5 session course with a mix of instructor and self-guided content
• Learn the basics of Public Affairs such as how to effectively use social media, take a great photo, become a storyteller of the squadron
• Cadets require a device that can take photos
• Ages 15 – 17

1 week 5 days 1.5 hours of instruction with self-guided work
Coaching
• Opportunity to perform coaching skills within the Cadet Program
• Topics include SMART goal setting, GROW coaching, and coaching skills to teach the cadet marksmanship and biathlon programs
• Ages 15 – 16 (Completion of PL 4)

Instructional Techniques
• Opportunity to perform skills necessary for Classroom Instruction, Drill Instruction, and Virtual Instruction
• Topics include how to complete a lesson plan, create and utilize training aids, and communication techniques for face to face and virtual instruction
• Ages 14 – 16 (Completion of PL 3)

Effective Communication
• Opportunity to develop communication skills, focusing on effective leadership and encouraging cadets to challenge themselves through competitive and motivational speaking

Cadet Cyber Training
• Non-qualification course
• Learn about Cyber Security, securing multi-platform operating systems (Windows 10 and Ubuntu 18), and interact with CAF/COATS Cyber Educators
• Develop Cyber Defence skills required to compete in an online competition with other groups from across the world
