VILP Update – May 5 2016 Page 1 We are really excited to announce that the VILP platform is now live on CareerHub! You can access it by logging in and clicking on the ‘dashboard’. The entire VILP process is laid out for you in sections. Please read each section carefully. You have the option of attending orientation events and workshops. These are not compulsory but are highly recommended, especially for students new to the programme. Seminars and Speaker Events Your attendance at seminars will show up automatically once the VILP team has marked it. Any seminars you have attended so far should already be recorded. For speaker events your reflection submission is proof of attendance, so be sure to include lots of detail for us to verify you were there. For seminars and speaker events, your running total of completion will change once the VILP team has approved your reflection. When writing your reflections , please remember to be critically engaged with the issues raised at the seminar or speaker event. Try to avoid being purely descriptive. Be critical of the ideas presented but please save any constructive criticism of the seminar structure for the seminar evaluation. For the VILP reflection question and tips to guide your writing, please read the ‘Reflections’ tab on Blackboard. The final section will be unlocked for you once you have completed all of the requirements of engagement. If you have a question that is not answered by the information given, please email us at [email protected]. Experiential Activities CareerHub is now live! If you would like some ideas on what to do for your experiential activities, check out the experiential activities tab on Blackboard! There is a list of example activities other VILP students have done. An updated list is coming soon so keep your eyes peeled! For ALL experiential activities, you need to keep track of your hours with a timesheet that can be downloaded from Blackboard. Experiential activities will be marked ‘completed’ once the VILP team has approved the form and the experiential evidence has been submitted. Please also get into the habit of taking photos to use as experiential evidence. It is great to inspire each other with pictures of what you’re doing! (We will not use these for anything other than approving your file unless you allow us to.)

We are really excited to announce that the VILP platform is now live on CareerHub! You can access it by logging in and clicking on the ‘dashboard’. The entire VILP process is laid out for you in sections. Please read each section carefully. You have the option of attending orientation events and workshops. These are not compulsory but are highly recommended, especially for students new to the programme.

Seminars and Speaker Events

Your attendance at seminars will show up automatically once the VILP team has marked it.

Experiential Activities

CareerHub is now live!
