PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE “A child’s soul is an ever bubbling fountain in the world humanity”.” The child is the most precious asset of a vidyalaya and the common minimum program aims to bring out the best in each child. The numerous and multifarious activities provide ample opportunities for the physical, mental and emotional growth of the child. I express my gratitude to the deputy commissioner, Mrs Santosh Mirdha for her constant guidance, inspiration and support and also to the entire primary staff for making the programme a successful one.” News- letter provides an opportunity to view the whole panorama of primary education in a nutshell.

FRUIT AND VEGETABLE DAY CELEBRATIONFruit and vegetable day was celebrated on 7.10.2015 . Our tiny tots of class 1 and 2 highlighted the importance of fruits and vegetables respectively for a healthy life and to keep diseases at bay. Their group performances presented a colourful and spectacular view.

ART AND CRAFT WORKSHOP

To hone the creativity of teachers, a workshop on art and craft was organised for primary teachers on 17.10.2015 by Ms. Mehnaz and Mr. Rajesh. They enlightened the teachers about primary and secondary colours for creating new colours and shading effect. They gave special training for clay modelling and origami (paper folding) activities.

RANGOLI /DIYA AND POT DECORATION

Diya and pot decoration alongwith Rangoli making competition was held on the eve of Diwali on 06.11.2015 for classes 1 to 3 and 4-5 respectively. In this competition, children exhibited their creative skills and marvellous sense of colour

combinations. This competition proved challenging even for our judges also.

CHILDRENS’ DAY CELEBRATIONTo make the special day memorable for our blooming buds, many special programmes like fancy dress , cultural

presentations along with community lunch were organised on 16.11.2015 . Children enjoyed this day very much and the best presentation was awarded appreciation and prize.

SPORTS DAYSports are an integral part of education. To inculcate the values of sportsman spirit, team spirit and healthy, competitive - spirit among children, we celebrated our annual sports day on 20.11.2015. The chief guest for the event was eminent Hockey player of INDIA, Mr RAJDEEP SINGH. Many cultural and sports events were organised on this day. The centre of attraction was the “Tug of war” between the teachers and the students. In the end, medals were given and refreshment was distributed among students.

GRANDPARENTS’ DAYGrandparents are the roots of our society. They keep us grounded and nurture us with their rich experiences. They have the ability to turn our sorrows into smiles. To bring smile to the faces of our grandparents, we celebrated the much awaited grandparents’ day on 11.12.2015. Grandparents shared their experiences and thoroughly enjoyed the games and cultural events presented for them.

FOUNDATION DAY CELEBRATION

The KVS foundation day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 15.12.2015 by the Primary and the Secondary wings. This day was made memorable by the great achievement of our worthy Principal madam receiving Incentive award .

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONCelebrations add new zest ,zeal, colour and vim to our routine lives.With this motto and the intention, to acquaint the children with different customs and religions, we celebrated Christmas on 23.12.2015 as winter break commences from 24.12.15.Children sang Christmas carols and enjoyed the cake and goodies distributed by many Santas dressed specially for this occasion.

GROUP DANCEThroughout the year, the much awaited competition by all the houses was Inter house group dance competition. Dance was used as a medium by our little shining stars to teach us –‘ united we stand, divided we fall.’ The themes for our group dances were East Indian, West Indian, North Indian and South Indian dance form, to mark the rich cultural diversity and yet unity in diversity.

EDUCATIONAL EXCURSIONWe went on educational excursion to Nehru Planetarium, Nehru Museum and India gate on 19.02.2016. The effect of seeing the real things is more prominent than the bookish knowledge. The impressions are everlasting in the minds of our children. Moreover excursions create happy memories which they can relish throughout their lives.

CUBS AND BULBUL UTSAV (2016)

KV AFS TUGHLAKABAD celebrated Cubs and Bulbul utsav (Thinking day) at cluster level on 27.2.2016.with great zeal and fervour. Many activities were organised like creative fancy dress, mask making, story-telling , clay modelling, drawing competition etc. along with cultural presentations from different schools.

CCA PRIZE DISTRIBUTIONThe month of March witnessed the declaration of Annual result along with the distribution of CCA prizes and awaits the inauguration of the new session scheduled for April 1. PRIMARY SECTION jostles and bustles with lot of fun filled activities throughout the year. Our constant guide and mentor Respected .Principal ma’am remains our role model and pillar of strength. .
