i>clicker ‘CMS Integrate Wizard’ is a course management wizard “Building Block, “ or “PowerLink” that allows for one-click integration of i>clicker polling data with your CMS. i>clicker integrate requires installation of a plug-in by the campus course management administrator and enables your students to register their i>clicker remotes directly within your campus CMS.

Allows you to link your class roster and student clicker registrations to i>grader in just one click.

Other Notable Comments

i>clicker is a reliable technology and is known for its simple and intuitive software and hardware, and superior customer support.

i>clicker offers a strong feature set that faculty have identified as important:

o Zero drop-rate for student transmission of voteso Ability to ask for multiple choice, true/false, numeric,

and/or alphanumeric responseso Integration with learning management systems

(Blackboard)o Manual manipulation of student grades and datao Demographic polling and data slicingo Graphic display of polling resultso Visible countdown timero Supportive company relationship

IMPORTANT: Why doesn’t i>clicker2 have a keypad?o We did extensive market research before we starting

building the i>clicker2 remote. The feedback from dozens of faculty and students: the need for alphanumeric entry was crucial, but the vast majority of faculty only asked multiple choice questions and those who did ask open‐ended questions did so only a few times throughout a lecture. For this reason, we decided that multiple choice functionality should still be at the core of the i>clicker2 design. We have improved the Multiple Choice experience as well with additional vote confirmation through the LCD screen.

o To answer a question with an alphanumeric response, students simply have to press the blue “Refresh” button and use the crossbars at the top of the remote to toggle through to their alphanumeric response.

Our users report that students are able to quickly master this process and answer questions effectively after only minor instruction.
