01. GRANT OF TRADE LICENCE UNDER SECTION 277 OF THE CANTONMENTS ACT, 2006 TO THE ESTABLISHMENTS IN PUNE CANTONMENT AREA FOR THE YEAR 2017-18

To consider the issue of granting Trade Licence to the establishments within Pune Cantonment Area for the year 2017-18. The detailed bifurcation of applications received for issue of Trade Licences are as under :- Total applications received 248 Nos.

i. 10 applications received in respect of Kiosks ii. 26 applications received in respect of Chhatrapati Shivaji

Marketiii. 09 applications received from establishments which are under

the management of DEO, Pune Circle, Pune – These applications have been forwarded to DEO, Pune Circle, Pune for issue of NOC. Till date only one reply has been received from DEO in respect of Kayani Bakery.

iv. 93 applications received from establishments (Barber shop / grain & grocery / pan shop / medical stores /beauty parlours etc) in Civil Area - The list has been forwarded to CEE, CRS & LS for their remarks, which is still awaited.

v. 110 applications received from Bakery / Hotels / Eateries etc in Civil Area – The applications received have been forwarded to Commanding Officer, SHO for inspection of these establishments and report thereof, which is still awaited.

RESOLUTION NO. 1 : The Board discussed the agenda in detail and resolved to discuss it during the next Board after receiving the report of SHO, NOC of DEO in respect of properties under the management of DEO and reports from Engineering & Revenue Departments of the Board. It was directed by the President that all the cases of Trade Licence will be considered on merit and decision communicated to the applicants.

02. CIRCULAR AGENDA : TENDER FOR COLLECTION OF GROUND RENT CHARGES FROM HAWKERS IN THE OPEN MARKET OF KUMBHAR BAWADI AND GHORPURI VILLAGE MARKET IN PUNE CANTONMENT

To note the Circular Agenda dated 26.10.2017 resolving to grant extension to the present contractor M/s. Nitin Suppliers for collection of Ground Rent Charges from Hawkers in the open market of Kumbhar Bawadi and Ghorpuri Village Market in Pune Cantonment for a period of two months w.e.f 01.11.2017 or till the finalization of tender whichever is earlier on the existing bid amount of Rs. 72999/- per month for Kumbhar Bawadi Market and Rs.45786/- for Ghorpuri Vegetable Market.

RESOLUTION NO. 2 : Considered. Noted & confirmed.Shri. Atul V Gaikwad, Vice President reiterated that the timings of Kumbhar Bawadi are not being strictly implemented and due to which the residents residing in the vicinity of the Market are frequently complaining. CEO enquired regarding the same with the Health Department of the Board. Shri. S R Khandrey, Health Supdt. informed the Board that the market is cleared by 3.00 pm and thereafter cleaning of the market is undertaken & completed by 4.30 pm. CEO instructed Shri. S R Khandrey, Health Supdt. to continue this process and keep a keen watch on the same. The Board noted and approved the same. Further Shri. Ashok Pawar & Smt. Priyanka R Shrigiri, Elected Members also requested the Board that a separate meeting shouls be conducted only for discussion on the various issues related to Chhatrapati Shivaji Market. Board noted the same.

03. FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT ON THE OCASSION OF BICENTENNIAL CELEBRATIONS OF PUNE CANTONMENT

To consider the issue of organizing a football tournament in Pune Cantonment as a part of the Bicentennial Celebrations and to incur the necessary expenditure required for conducting the tournament.

RESOLUTION NO. 3 : Considered. CEO informed the Board that a football tournament is proposed to be conducted every two years in commemoration of the bicentennial year of Pune Cantonment. He further informed that the football tournament may be conducted in two groups viz. under 17 & Open. The Board unanimously approved for such an initiative being undertaken by the Board. CEO requested the Members to actively participate and be a part for conducting the tournament successfully. Matter discussed. Resolved to conduct football tournament in two categories viz. under 17 & open on the sports ground at Wanowrie Football Ground & on the open ground bearing GLR Sy. No.177, in Ghorpuri, which is completely vacant without any structure. The Board resolved to clean the whole vacant land and to level it at par of a football ground. All Members appreciated the efforts as the old bushes and vegetation on this ground has been noticed generating mosquitoes prone to various diseases. CEO is authorized to incur the expenditure towards the same and for conducting the football tournament to be called as Bicentennial Cup.

04. SALE OF THE BOOK ENTITLED ‘A BALLAD OF 200 YEARS’ PREPARED ON THE OCCASION OF BICENTENNIAL YEAR CELEBRATIONS

To consider the issue of fixing the sale price for the Book written by CEO & team of PCB entitled ‘A Ballad of 200 years’ published on the occasion of the Bicentennial year celebrations of the Pune Cantonment.

Note : There has been wide publicity and appreciation in the local media, which has been reported in various newspapers in details about the celebrations and particularly on the Book published on the occasion. In this regard there have been queries from the general public enquiring about the book and asking for a copy of the same.

RESOLUTION NO. 4 : Considered. CEO informed the Board that there has been demand / enquiries for purchase of the Book ‘A Ballad of 200 years’ published on the occasion of Bicentennial year celebrations. All the Members opined that subsidized charges may be levied on the sale of the Book. Board approved the same. Matter discussed. Resolved to fix Rs. 500/- for sale of each book entitled ‘A Ballad of 200 years’. OS to initiate necessary action. It is also resolved to forward the Books to all concerned offices of the Department & Army. Further Board also noted the Circular Agenda dated 16th October, 2017 approving the rate quoted by Repro Prints @ Rs. 350/- + 12% GST i.e. Rs. 392/- per book for designing and printing 500 books of 200 pages. Further the Board was informed regarding the additional bill submitted by Repro Prints amounting to Rs. 72,800/- (including GST). AEE (Electrical) explained that the firm had printed all the books by 7th November, 2017. Meanwhile, the preface / foreword of all the higher dignitaries & Hon’ble Defence Minister were received on 10th November, 2017, which needlessly had to be included amongst the first few pages of the Book for which the binding and seams of the Book had to be removed and re-bind the same with proper finishing. The Board noted and approved the same. Resolved to make the additional payment of Rs. 72,800/- to Repro Prints. AEE (Electrical) to initiate further action.

05. BICENTENNIAL CELEBRATIONS OF PUNE CANTT :

Reference CBR No. 10 dated 15.7.2017, CBR No. 65 dated 19.9.2017, CBR No. 1 dated 06.10.2017 & CBR No. 3 dated 31.10.2017.To consider the letter / Tax Invoice dated 17.11.2017 amounting to Rs. 14,42,285/- submitted by Kautilya Multicreations Pvt. Ltd., the agency approved for the three days event management on the occasion of the Bicentennial Celebrations of Pune Cantonment, towards additional work executed during three day celebration. Connected papers are placed on the table.Note : In compliance to CBR No. 3 dated 31.10.2017, Work Order was issued to the firm, M/s. Kautilya Multicreation Pvt. Ltd., to conduct 03 days programme on 11th, 12th & 13th November, 2017 amounting to Rs. 47,45,000/- after excluding the events i.e. cycle rally, happy street & blood donation. The firm has executed the event with grand success. During execution of the programme, the firm executed additional work beyond the scope of work mentioned in the work order, without prior intimation / sanction of the Board, viz. Invitation card with envelope and pass for car parking, horses, sofa & chairs, kitchen pantry, balloons, female anchor, red carpet for entire ground, two band stage with red carpet & mike, state LED wall, Ganesh Murthi, podium, nursery plantation, pagadi, uparne, & Moti Mala for chief guest, I Cards, badges, momentoe, mojo barricading, tables with frill, animated logo, tutari, media stage, Green rooms, pagoda for police, smoke machine , LED graphics, extension of ground space etc. It is submitted that the total contract value will be Rs. 61,87,285 towards the three days programme on the occasion of bicentennial celebrations. RESOLUTION NO. 5 : Considered. CEO informed the Board that Kautilya Multicreation Pvt. Ltd., the Event Management Agency for three days programme on the occasion of Bicentennial year celebrations has submitted an additional bill amounting to Rs. 14,42,285/- towards the additional work carried out on ground and also as per the on the spot requirement considering the security of high level dignitaries and crowd management and overall success of the event such as expansion of general public area, designing and printing of invitation card, additional entry / exit gate for general public etc. Further CEO asked AEE (Electrical) to bring out the list of additional work executed by the agency in comparison to the original list of work mentioned in the tender documents as well as the work order issued. AEE (Electrical) explained that additional requirements such as two 16 x 24’ stage for military band erected with provision of sound and mike system, 18’ x 12’ kitchen pantry

with tables and chairs, 3500 invitation cards, 30 Nos. of VVIP leather sofas along with centre table, expansion of general public area with barricades and additional seating arrangements, media stage, 40’ x 16’ LED screen, designing of LED Graphics as per theme of the programme and celebrity etc were provided for successful conclusion of the grand event. President Cantonment Board asked the Elected Members to give their views as to how much additional amount can be paid to the Event Management Agency considering the additional works/items used for the success of the event. Vice President, Shri. Atul V Gaikwad & other Elected Members viz. Shri . Shri. Ashok D Pawar, Smt. Rupali S Bidkar, Shri. Dilip M Giramkar, Shri. Vinod M Mathurawala & Dr. Kiran T Mantri was of the view that around Rs. 6.00 lakhs payment should be made considering the efforts / quality of works undertaken towards grand success of the Event. After discussion and considering the views of all the Members, the Board was of the view that Rs. 6.00 lakhs towards the additional payment to the Event Management Agency is a reasonable amount considering the quality, actual work done and taxation for conducting such programmes, which is below the deviation limit amount as per Contract Agreement i.e. 20% deviation is allowed in the Contract Agreement. After detailed deliberations, the Board unanimously resolved to make additional payment of Rs. 6.00 lakhs to Kautilya Multicreations Pvt. Ltd towards additional work executed during three day Bicentennial celebrations. Further Shri. Sukhdev Patil, AEE (Civil) & Shri.Vijay Chavan, AEE (Elect) intimated the Board that the following works / services have been procured / done through I R Decorators & Event & New Life Decorators viz. LED lights , sharpee lights, wash lights, blander lights at the office premises, mirchi lights, VIP sofas, generator, T-Truss, Teepoi, metal light, carpet, round tables, kitchen shed, VIP chair, Amber & Green light, table etc at Turf Club House, 20 ft. flag on the full stretch of Shankarshethroad upto Golibar Maidan CHowk, Lighting of hospital building, sound system at Dr. Ambedkar Statue, Box Kaman, 200 VIP chairs, 20 sofas at Golibar Maidan, front iron barricade at Golibar Maidan, Metal light at Dhobi Ghat, Mandap & Stage at Cantonment General Hospital, catering table & side covering at Golibar Maidan, fibre chair, speaker set, podium, table, teepoi, sofa, fan, carpet Mandap with dripping at Dr. Ambedkar Memorial High School, flex board support, 60 ft. box Kaman at Dhobi Ghat & Golibar Maidan junction etc. The Board noted that these requirements were required to be done and also within the stipulated period of three days during bicentennial year celebrations. Matter discussed. After detailed deliberations, Board resolved that CEO is authorized to make necessary payment as per the approved rate to I R Decorators & Event & New Life Decorators.

It is intimated by Shri. S N Gaikwad-CEE, Shri. Vijay Chavan-AEE, Shri. Sukhdev B Patil-AEE, Shri. S A Kadam, CRS and other members of the team that total Rs. 24.75 lakhs has been received from various federations etc. CEO thanked all the sponsorers, who have whole heartedly contributed for the three days Bicentennial Celebrations and eventually making it a grand success. He also stated that a thanks giving letter will be issued to them. The Board appreciated the efforts taken by Shri. Vijay Chavan, Shri. Sukhdev Patil & others for taking sincere efforts for collection CSR funds.CEO also thanked all the Media for taking maximum efforts for covering the day to day details of the event.

06. TENDER FOR DOCUMENTARY FILM ON PUNE CANTONMENT BOARD HISTORY, DEVELOPMENT & GROWTH STORY IN VIEW OF BICENTENNIAL YEAR CELEBRATION

Reference CBR No. 2 dated 06.10.2017.To consider letter dated 10th November, 2017 submitted by S B Productions Pvt. Ltd., requesting for payment of additional charges amounting to Rs. 1,80,540/- towards the extra work carried out during the process of making the documentary film on the occasion of bicentennial year celebrations.

Note : The Board vide CBR No. 2 dated 06.10.2017 after discussions and deliberations resolved to approve the tender of S B Productions Pvt. Ltd. @ Rs. 2,12,400/- documentary film on the history of Pune Cantonment, development & growth story in view of Bicentennial year celebration.

RESOLUTION NO. 6 : Considered. Matter discussed. CEO explained that the documentary film created by S B Productions PVt. Ltd. was of excellent qualify and also was appreciated by the dignitaries as well as the general public present during the function. AEE (Electrical) was asked to explain in detail the process involved towards creating the documentary film wherein he explained that in addition to the scope of work mentioned in the tender documents, the firm has carried out additional video shooting of 8 to 10 days with special 3-D effects and animation, multiple editing of the film, interviewing of various officials & esteemed citizens of Pune Cantonment etc. He further stated that this additional amount includes additional documentary film of 7 minutes and supply of 50 DVDs with special covers of the documentary film. CEO further stated that the DVD of Documentary film can be forwarded to all the

Cantonment Boards, Higher Authorities for their reference. Board noted and approved the same. After detailed discussion, the Board resolved to make an additional payment of Rs. 1.00 lakh to S B Productions Pvt. Ltd. towards the extra work carried out during the process of making the documentary film on the occasion of bicentennial year celebrations. CEO is authorized to incur the expenditures for procuring additional DVDs to be forwarded to dignitaries / higher officials/ Cantonment Boards etc. AEE (Electrical) to initiate further action.

07. PUBLICITY THROUGH CANTER ACTIVITY ON OCCASION OF BICENTENNIAL CELEBRATIONS OF PUNE CANTONMENT

To consider the quotations received for publicity campaign through Canter Activity in Cantonment area and Pune City on per basis on the occasion of bicentennial celebrations of Pune Cantonment. The comparative statement is as under :-

Resolved to approve the lowest rate quoted by Pride @ Rs. 29,264/- per day for publicity campaign through Canter Activity in Cantonment area as well as in Pune City for a period of 10 days w.e.f. 04.11.2017 to 12.11.2017. CEO is authorized to make necessary payment towards the same. AEE (Electrical) to initiate necessary action.

08. SUPPLY & INSTALLATION OF HELIUM BALLOON ON RENTAL BASIS ON THE TERRACE OF THE PUNE CANTONMENT OFFICE BUILDING

To consider quotations invited for the subject work on per day basis on the occasion of bicentennial celebrations of Pune Cantonment. The comparative statement is as under :-

RESOLUTION NO. 8 : Considered. Resolved to approve the lowest rate quoted by Pride @ Rs. 5,900/- per day for supply and installation of Helium Balloon on the terrace of Pune Cantonment office building for a period of 10 days w.e.f. 03.11.2017 to 13.11.2017. CEO is authorized to make necessary payment towards the same. AEE (Electrical) to initiate necessary action.

09. SUPPORT OF PUNE CANTONMENT BOARD FOR THE INITIATIVE – “HAPPY STREETS”.

To consider letter dated 08.11.2017 received from the AGM – TOI, The Times of India of India Group requesting for support of Pune Cantonment Board for initiative for conducting Happy Streets on 19.11.2017, 26.11.2017, 03.12.2017 & 10.12.2017 during the morning hours from 6.00 am to 10.00 am from Mohammed Rafi Chowk to Arora Towers on MG Road. The following onground activities will be conducted during the said periods :-

i. Provide rent free cycleii. Erecting temporary stage and organizing fitness activities like

aerobics, zumba, yoga etciii. Engagement activities promoting traffic safety iv. Sports activities like badminton, street soccer, Frisbee etcv. Traditional games like stapuvi. workshops on health & fitness vi. Kid’s activities like story-telling and art etc Connected papers are placed on the table.Note : The initiative of Happy street is a tremendous success with thousands of citizens participating every Sunday during the last year in the Cantonment area. The Happy street is an initiative that aims to provide better and safer walking and cycling infrastructure throughout all neighbourhoods in the city, through active citizens engagement. This will also help offset increased dependence on motorized transport, reduce congestion and pollution and promote healthy and sustainable mobility. The said initiatives will be conducted by Times of India and Maharashtra Times.

RESOLUTION NO. 9 : Considered. CEO brought to the notice of the Board that The Times of India Group has again submitted a letter dated 20th November, 2017 requesting to grant permission for conducting Happy Streets by organizing various activities as shown on the agenda side on 7th, 14th & 21st January, 2018. Board noted and unanimously approved the same with the condition that in the advertisement, Bicentennial of Pune Cantonment must be highlighted prominently. A formal letter may be issued to The Times of India Group. CEE to initiate necessary action.

10. TENDER FOR THE WORK OF CONSTRUCTION OF SEWAGE PUMPING STATION IN SHOLAPUR BAZAR : PUNE CANTT.

To consider the online tenders invited for the subject work, which was received in two parts i.e. Technical & Financial Bid. The Technical bids were opened on 23.10.2017 and single bid was received. The technical bid were scrutinized. Thereafter the financial bid of the technically qualified tenderer was opened on 17.11.2017 and the details are as under :-

Connected papers alongwith office report is placed on the table. Note : The tender for the subject work was invited by the Board for the third time. In the first call no bids were received. During the second time, single bid was received, therefore the financial bid was not opened. Again during the third time also only single bid has been received keeping in view the policy issued by E-in-C Branch, New Delhi vide letter bearing No. 66546/P-36/360 E-8 dated 01.05.2015, Board may open the single valid tender in second call. RESOLUTION NO. 10 : Considered. It is brought to the notice of the Board that as per the existing policy single valid tender can be opened in the second call. Since only one tender was received in the second call and the same was not opened, this office re-invited the tender for the third time. Again during the third call only single tender is received, the same has been opened. The Board noted that the rate received during the third call is higher than the estimated cost of the subject work. CEO requested GE (N) to give his comments as to whether any guidelines exists for accepting a tender, which has been quoted higher than the estimated cost. GE(N) enquired with the Engineering Department that whether the estimated cost is including the forecast percentage over MES SSR, 2010 for preparation of AE’s & percentage of GST. The technical staff of the Engineering Department specified that these percentage were not considering during the preparation of estimates and it is submitted that the estimates were prepared prior to the implementation of GST by Government of India. GE (N) opined that under such conditions, the Board can revise the estimates by incorporating the above mentioned details and forward a revised proposal to the Competent Authority for obtaining necessary sanction. GE(N) further suggested that considering the said facts, the Board can approve the rate quoted by the single tenderer subject to reasonability of rates. Matter discussed. The Board was of the opinion that since these percentages has to be included in the estimated cost which is also mandatory, the Engineering Department should consider the said facts and work out the revised estimated cost for the subject work. AEE (Civil) explained that the construction of Sewage Treatment Plant at 900 Boottee Street is at completion stage and also laying of new trunk sewer line from Deccan Tower to 900 Boottee is in progress. The sewage load of Sholapur Bazar & adjoining area has to be collected at the proposed pumping station and thereafter the same will be lifted and connected to new trunk sewer line being laid behind Deccan Tower in Sholapur Bazar. Hence in order to complete the whole process, it is mandatory to construct the sewage pumping station at Sholapur Bazar without any further delay. Board noted the same. Matter discussed. After detailed deliberations, resolved to approve the rate quoted by M/s. Gurukrupa Enterprises @ Rs. 1,17,15,494/- for construction sewage pumping station in Sholapur Bazar. Further resolved that the revised proposal alongwith revised estimated cost of Res. 129.33 lakhs, be forwarded to the Competent Authority for obtaining necessary action CEE to initiate further necessary action.

11. UTILIZATION OF KAKASAHEB GADGIL PLAYGROUND : PUNE CANTT.

To consider application dated 26.10.2017 received from Methodist Marathi Church, Pune requesting for allotment of Kakasaheb Gadgil Play Ground for organizing a Christmas Carnival from 08.12.2017 to 10.12.2017 at concessional rate.

Dr. Kiran T Mantri, Elected Member stated that the Ground Rent Charges in respect of Ghorpuri Village Market should not be enhanced as renovation work has to be carried out of the market. The existing space / otta is not being utilized by the vegetable vendor, hence the same be renovated and thereafter the charges may be enhanced. CEO enquired with the Engineering Department regarding the progress of work at the Ghorpuri Village Market. AEE (Civil) explained that a joint inspection has been carried out with the concerned Ward Member, Dr. Kiran T Mantri. The Ward Member suggested to demolish the part of the existing vegetable market

It is submitted that the provision of additional space to the existing stalls will create a shortage of space for the general public visiting the market. CEO stated that at first the vegetable vendors who are occupying the space outside the stall may be instructed to occupy to existing stall. Matter discussed. CEO stated that the charges has to be enhanced as the same has to be incorporated in the fresh tenders to be invited and the same will be implemented only after finalization of the fresh tenders. Matter discussed. President Cantonment Board suggested GE (N), Engineering staff and the concerned ward member to carry out a joint inspection of the Ghorpuri Village Market. On the basis of the report, CEO to initiate further necessary action. Board noted and approved the same. 14. ISSUANCE OF NOTICE UNDER SECTION 248 OF THE CANTONMENTS ACT, 2006 : BUNGALOW NO. 10 STAVELY ROAD : PUNE CANTT.

Reference CBR No. 22 dated 22.10.2016.To consider the issue of notice under Section 248 of the Cantonments Act, 2006 in respect of Bungalow No. 10 Stavely Road, Pune Cantt. The building plans were sanctioned vide CBR No. 22 dated 22.10.2016 for the following for residential purpose :-i. Wooden frame roof removed / repaired and replaced with

Demolition of certain wall etcThe site was inspected by the technical staff of this office and it was noticed that the HOR of the subject property demolished the old authorized structure of main bungalow consisting ground plus one floor and carried out the following unauthorized construction without prior approval from this office and which attracts Section 235 of the Cantonments Act, 2006 – ‘Demolition of the existing entire authorized structure of main bungalow consisting of ground plus one floor and reconstruction of he same measuring 23.92 mtr. x 26.33 mtr. x 4.50 mtr. ht. approx. in RCC framed structure consisting of RCC columns, beams and MS pipe framework.’The work is in progress. The above mentioned unauthorized construction deviation carried out by the HOR violates the Government Land Policy, attracting Byelaw No. 15 thereby violating Condition No. 10 of the sanction letter dated 17.11.2016 of the subject property. The HOR carried out the unauthorized construction deviating to the sanctioned plan. Thus the sanction has been obtained by misrepresentation of facts and works, which were not sanctioned have been carried out. Therefore a notice was issued on 21.08.2017, 29.09.2017 and 08.11.2017 directing the owner to stop the construction work and showcause as to why action for revocation of building plan should not taken against them under Building Byelaw No. 15. No reply has been received from the party. This office has also issued notice under Section 239(1) dated 09.11.2017 of the Cantonments Act, 2006.

Resolved to revoke the building plan sanctioned vide CBR No 22 dated 22.10.2016 in respect of property bearing Bungalow No. 10 Stavely Road. Further resolved to issue notice under Section 248 of the Cantonments Act, 2006 giving 30 days to time, failing which further notice under Section 320 of the Cantonments Act, 2006 be issued by giving 10 days time.

15. DOOR TO DOOR COLLECTION OF WASTE FROM WARD NO. VII THROUGH JANWANI

To consider the issue of approving the work of door to door collection of waste from Ward No. VII through Janwani, which has been undertaken since 15th September, 2017 @ Rs. 30/- per household to be paid by the Cantonment Board and Rs. 30/- from respective household to Janwani and in case of commercial establishment Rs. 120/- from the concerned establishment directly to Janwani. Connected papers are placed on the table.Note : The Board vide CBR No. 36 dated 15.07.2017 had approved the door to door collection of waste from Ward No. III & VI @ Rs. 30/- per household to be paid by the Cantonment Board and Rs. 30/- from respective household to Janwani. RESOLUTION NO. 15 : Considered. CHS informed the Board that as a part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan , the work of door to door collection of waste from Ward No. VII is being done through Janwani since 15th September, 2017. CEO enquired with CHS the details about the number of vehicles carrying biodegradable waste daily to the Trenching Ground / Manure Yard. CHS stated that the work carried out by Janwani is satisfactory. CHS also brought to the notice of the Board that due to deficit staff, the existing staff are overburdened with work.. President Cantonment Board enquired about the status of recruitment and deficit of staff and suggested CEO to initiate the procedure for recruitment and warned the CHS that work has to be managed with the existing staff and no excuses shall be given in future. Board noted the same. Matter discussed Resolved to approve the user fee @ Rs. 30/- per household to be paid by the Cantonment Board and Rs. 30/- from respective household to Janwani and in case of commercial establishment Rs. 120/- from the concerned establishment directly to Janwani w.e.f. 15th September, 2017. CHS to initiate necessary action.

16. REQUEST FOR ALLOTMENT OF ALTERNATIVE SPACE FOR FUCNTIONING OF PUNE CANTONMENT BOARD EMPLOYEES CO-OPERATIVE CREDIT SOCIETY LTD.

To consider letter dated 17.11.2017 received from the Chairman, Pune Cantonment Board Employees Co-operative Credit Society Ltd. requesting to allot a space of 900 sq.ft. for functioning the society office, which is being giving financial support to all the employees of the Board, who are also the shareholders in the Society, Connected papers are placed on the table.Note : At present the Society is functioning at the site of Cantonment Store Yard, Nr. Babajan Chowk. It has been stated that the office of the Society would be demolished for the purpose of provision additional infrastructure to the upcoming English Medium School, which is in progress at the said site.

RESOLUTION NO. 16 : Considered. Matter discussed. CEO brought to the notice of the Board that this Society is functioning for the employees of the Board and also providing financial support to the permanent staff of the Board. He also informed the Board that the existing structure of the society at Cantonment Store Yard is required to be demolished for utilizing the same for providing additional infrastructure for the upcoming English Medium School. Hence till a permanent space is provided to the Society, an alternative arrangement is required to made for the same. All the Members also approved for the same. CEO stated that at present renovation of Parmar Hall is being carried out, the said space can be allotted to society temporarily for functioning of society office. Shri. Ashok Pawar, Elected Member stated that this is only a small hall, which is in Ward No. II and is being used by the general public residing in that area for conducting small functions, Hence it is requested that the said hall may not be allotted. CRS informed that since last two to three years, Parmar hall is vacant and no revenue is being derived from the said hall. Board noted the same. CEO informed that at present the hall may be allotted to the Society temporarily and thereafter a permanent space can be allotted. AEE (Civil) informed the Board that atleast a month is required to complete the renovation work of the Parmar Hall. Board noted the same. Matter discussed. Resolved that the Parmar Hall after renovation may be allotted to the Pune Cantonment Board Employees Co-operative Credit Society Ltd temporarily. Further CEO brought to the notice of the Board that possibility may be explored for allotment of space at the site of Dhobi Ghat, the area to be developed for lawn or within the New store yard. Matter discussed. Resolved that CEE & CRS will carry out joint inspection of the said sites and put up a feasibility report.
