 Summary

What is the Code Games Idea?

Problem StatementAccounting historically has been a pen and paper activity where entries were done manually and a large number of physical files were maintained.

The expectations in accounting business today have changed dramatically. Tax and accounting firms now have access to an expanding number of mobile devices.

The International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) has around 3 million members today. Even a pessimistic estimate would suggest that at least 70 % of these 3 million accountants must be using mobiles. It means that there are around 2 million accountants today who use mobile phones. And this presents to us a tremendous opportunity which our idea tries to capitalize on.  

These 2 million accountants are not your ordinary traditional accountants but the Gen X and Y accountants who want to be proactive and vigilant and therefore want to be connected with their clients and employees through mobiles 24X7.

These accountants want anytime anywhere service whether they are working from home, traveling or outside office shopping or watching a movie.

Today any accounting software that has these abilities can act as a key differentiator to retain existing clients and attract new clients and prospective employees.  

Our Idea This project aims to allow the 21st century accountants to be able to conduct their daily business through smartphone on the go, whether they're on the road or working from home or outside office. It enables them to conduct accounting tasks and view information affecting their business literally in the palm of their hands. It will allow them to stay informed of the latest events impacting their clients, get hands on information about their business statistics and also enter on the spot timesheet entries through mobile. 

iFirm Palm is a blend of:

CCH PalmiQ: Integration of CCH iQ with SMS and mobile website. CCH PalmTime: It will allow iFirm users to add their timesheet entries on their mobiles.  CCH PalmStat: It will allow iFirm users to view vital stats (Top 10 Debtors) affecting their 

business. 

How it is put together?

CCH PalmiQ: We will display a list of CCH Iq Events received from CCH iKnow feed. The users will be able to see the Event Details and the clients affected by that Event. The users will be notified through an SMS when an event impacting their business occurs. We will be using a third party SMS gateway service to send SMS from server when a new Event is added through CCH iKnow feed. 

CCH PalmTime: We will be creating a mobile UI for adding timesheets. 

CCH PalmStats: We will be creating a mobile UI for showing Dashboard widgets (Top 10 Debtors).
