All of Victoria Daly Shire Head office staff moved into the long awaited new head office on Friday 20th March. The official opening took place on the 6th April with head office being opened by Mayor Wegener. Head Office is now located in the Ran-dazzo Building under ICC.

More training taking took place at Wadeye and Timber Creek and their Night Patrol Teams and Senior First Aid Officers. Jill Wallaby, Sharon Darby, Ruth Darby and Christine Daly from Yarralin completed their Certificate II Community Services. More TechOne Training took place with Marishty Lalim doing rates training. changes to CDEP commencing on 01.07.2009. I urge every CDEP Participant, Supervisor, Team Leader and Coordinator to attend these sessions when they are held in your community. There are some changes to CDEP that will affect everyone and it is in your best inter-est to attend these sessions and lis-ten to what they have to say. The Esub tender process for CDEP for the period 01.07.2009 to 30.06.2012 has been completed and is currently under consideration by ICC the relevant funding body. As soon as we receive a decision from ICC, on our application I will advise you of our involvement with CDEP for that period. It is pleasing to see the roll out of uniforms happening in our commu-

nities for CDEP participants and I urge anyone who has not yet applied for a uniform to see their Team Leader or Coordinator and get your orders in as soon as possible. With the dry season well upon us, I will be travelling extensively throughout our communities from now on and look forward to viewing first hand some of the exciting pro-jects currently underway. If anyone has any questions about CDEP when I am in your community please make yourself known to me and I will be able to help you out. Until then stay safe and enjoy your work and partici-pation in the CDEP program. Regards Frank Mills CDEP Regional Manager

Welcome to another addition of the VDSC Newsletter. CDEP is continuing to grow within Victo-ria Daly Shire Council and we currently have our highest number of participants ever. At the pre-sent time we have over 460 par-ticipants with the number growing every day, certainly a very busy time for the Community Team Leaders, Coordinators and Super-visors especially at Wadeye where their number exceeds 200. As you will be aware, ICC, the funding body for the CDEP Pro-gram are currently holding Com-munity Information Sessions where they are announcing the
