I don't have have a dog in this fight, but B. Lou is technically correct. How? You haven't addressed any of her questions at all. You haven't challenged any of her facts. Technically, this isn't an argument so claiming that she's creating a straw man of something that never existed is quite laughable at best and at worse embarrassing for yourself. Why? Because you know better than that.

Personally, I can understand your need to double down, because vegans see it everyday from friends, relatives and complete strangers. Vegans are guilty of reminding people that your food was needlessly tortured and killed for unnecessary food everyday. We hear countless reasons that are easily taken apart through the proper application of reason gussied up with public appeals for compassion. Vegans cite countless peer review papers by animal behaviorists that individual species that compose factory farms demonstrate sentience, form deep emotional bonding with their offspring and develop all the symptoms of PTSD as they go through factory process just to end up on everyone's plate. I could even go on about the facts surrounding the Western diet is destroying the planet and the health toll on the population, but they're facts and we know they can't stand up to a strongly held belief.

Now I'm not making any assumptions of any kind, because I'm not making any accusations about what you are doing with your exchange with B. Lou. But what I'm observing is the classic pattern that is quite common with debates between vegans/carnists or atheists/theists.
