VALUES THAT DRIVE OUR CULTURE
Jackson Healthcare is an organization that is rich in core values which are truly
exemplified within the corporate culture and environment. Our success and
organizational performance can be attributed to the values that drive us each and
every day. We provide our associates with a clear set of goals, and help them to
understand our mission, and the purpose of their contribution to the organization.
At Jackson Healthcare, our values are the core of our character, and they affect
how we approach relationships, as well as fulfill our purpose, vision and mission.
Others First
We have identified the importance of respecting individuals. We forgive others,
and focus not on the problem, but on the solution. We treat others as we would
want to be treated. One of our Senior Leaders stated, “It all starts with respect
for the individual. At 5:00 pm our people walk out the door. We have to respect
that and treat others the way they want to be treated.”
Strives For Excellence
We are not afraid to take risks and to admit our mistakes. “We reward risk and
innovation – particularly mistakes. We realize mistakes; say what we learned,
and what we are going to do differently,” said one of our Senior Leaders. An
Associate stated, “We have a ‘fail safe’ environment here. This gets us the best
results because we are not married to ‘this is the way we’ve always done it’.” We
strive to lead the pack and continue to be innovators within our industry. Our
leadership teams create an environment that fosters and encourages
development. Another Associate responded, “Management is very open and
communicates regularly. The emails are very human. They are very real.”

Maximize Potential
We embrace an entrepreneurial work style. Associates are empowered to make
decisions, and take responsibility for their personal and professional growth. The
organization has a strong focus on work/life balance, which also contributes to
our successes. “This building gave us the ability to focus on wellness programs.
From the Coliseum Challenge to Running & Triathlon teams, we want to provide
employees with a range of wellness programs,” stated one of our Senior
Leaders. One of our Associates said, “We created a work schedule for me that
fit with my life. I have Wednesdays to work from home so I can spend time with
my youngest child. I end up getting a tremendous amount of work done and
have a work/life balance because of this schedule. I work for a company that
understands my personal and professional goals.”
Do the Right Thing
Our corporate culture does not tolerate lying. We maintain honesty and integrity
at all times, and we seek fairness in all situations. A Senior Leader said, “We
always ask, ‘How is this going to be perceived by the associates? How will they
be affected’?” The impact on performance as a result of the alignment of values
is significant. “The leadership here is actually aligned with what they say here,”
stated one of our Associates. Our corporate culture is also very apparent in our
staffing numbers. Another Senior Leaders stated, “We have a 92% retention
rate. 63% of new hires are coming from internal referrals.”

Esteem the Team
We choose to build each other up, and challenge our teammates to perform to
their utmost potential. We collectively support and encourage each other. We
seek first to understand before responding, and always put the team first. “They
are looking for energy here. They hire people who enjoy what they do for a
living,” said an Associate. “I would describe the culture here as young, energetic,
conscientious and intelligent,” said a Senior Leader. “People here say, ‘this is
the best place I’ve ever worked’ and are appreciative of everything here,
particularly if they’ve worked other places,” said one of our Associates. Another
Associate stated, “We don’t just have employees, we have ambassadors.”
