The successful candidate will: Have a comprehensive knowledge of the clarinet and/or saxophone and be a competent, experienced player. Have experience within a classical music environment. Have a keen interest and good knowledge of single reed repertoire. Be highly efficient and have excellent organisational skills. Have good interpersonal and communication skills, and work well in a team. Be computer literate and be able to use standard Microsoft applications. Have a proficient level in Maths and English. Be self-motivated, reliable and have a professional work ethic. Be committed to the role Job Description The successful applicant will be based in our London clarinet/saxophone shop and will deal with all shop floor duties. You will be part of a team that is responsible for new and second- hand clarinet/saxophone sales, rentals, telephone and email enquiries and upholding our exceptional reputation for customer service. Other tasks will include stock control, dealing with suppliers, and sourcing new products under the guidance of the Managing Director. You will also be responsible for testing and evaluating all instrument stock. You will occasionally represent the company at trade exhibitions, conventions and special events, requiring flexibility and responsibility. Alongside these responsibilities, there are many ‘back office’ tasks you will be expected to undertake. You will be responsible for keeping the shop clean and tidy, dealing with regular stock deliveries and for maintaining our shop displays. The working week is five days, including Saturdays whilst taking a day off during the week.
