USING POWER POINT TO SHOW AND TELL

OBJECTIVE

•To include technology in Show and Tell

presentations.

HYPOTESIS• Using Power Point will make students enjoy the process

of creating supporting material for their Show and Tellpresentations.

INTRODUCTIONShow and Tell is a way Saint Anthony School students present to their classmates and teacher interesting topics to practice their English in classes. Most of the time students use posters as a supporting material to present.

We decided to include technology in this kind of projects.

MATERIALS• Computers with Internet and Power Point.

Google Chrome

PowerPoint

Computer Lab

PROCEDURE• First, we chose a country we where interested in presenting to the class.

• Second, we visited trust pages that contained reliable information about the country we chose.

• Third, we learned how be specific when looking for images using search

engines.

• Fourth, we use Power Point to make a Presentation that contained 5

Slides:

• The first slide included the tittle of the topic to present (in this case the name of

the country) and our name.

• The second slide had the location of the country, its map with capital, and text

boxes with details about the language and currency.

• The third slide presented the national symbols.

• The fourth slide included two touristic places.

• The last slide thanks the audience for the attention.

We used animations and transitions to make a more attractive

presentation.

CONCLUSIONS• Including technology in Show and Tell presentations was

an exiting experience for students.

•Students found interesting and easy to do a digital material to support their presentations.
