Creating Guided Notes

1. Look at lecture materials/outlines/notes2. What do you want to emphasize? 3. Identify the primary key points students should

learn/know4. Select what you want to leave out5. Delete key facts, concepts, points6. Insert symbolic cues7. Use projected slides8. Leave ample writing space for students9. Keep it short: single words or phrases10. Enhance with visuals, websites, practice
