4.0 Appliance Operation

• HR204

When the electricity is switched on the externalcontrols (humidstat or normal/boost switch)supply electricity to the fans.

On normal running the fans run at the voltageset during commissioning (80,100,120,140 or160 volts).

Air is then moved through the unit (see Fig 8) Ifthe fans become jammed then a thermal trip inthe fan senses temperature rise and breaks theelectrical supply to the motor. This can only bereset by disconnecting from the mainssupply.

If the external controls call for boost operationthe fans automatically run at 230 volts andincrease the air movement of both exhaust andinlet air.

• HR205

When the electricity is switched on the unitchecks for continuity across the overheatthermostat.

The fans then run at the voltage set duringcommissioning (80,100,120,140 or 160 volts).

Air is then moved through the unit (see Fig 8) Ifthe fans become jammed then a thermal trip inthe fan senses temperature rise and breaks theelectrical supply to the motor. This can only bereset by disconnecting from the mainssupply.

If the overheat thermostat senses an elevatedrise in temperature from the cooker/hob it breaksthe electrical supply to the fans. The overheatthermostat can only be reset bydisconnecting the mains supply to the unit.

In the event of a serious fire at the hob (e.g. chippan fire) the in built fire damper will operatesealing the clean air side of the unit from the fire.
