Dr Jonathan D Owens is a Senior Lecturer in Operations Management and Supply Chain Management at the University of Salford Business School, and a registered Chartered Engineer with the UK Engineering Council. He has worked in both academia and industry and held numerous UK government grants using his expertise in New Product Development and Supply Chain Management.

He has over thirty years’ work experience and eighteen of those in academia; having worked for British Steel Plc (Now Tata Steel) and Celestica in various engineering, research and management roles.

He has also taught and held numerous visiting Professor and Lecturer posts at Universities in Europe, Asia and the US. He is currently an external examiner the University of Stirling Management School.

His talk will focus on his research on New Products Development and introducing practical examples to explain the success and failure of why adapting an NPD is so important. Particularly so important now when both time and capital will be limited in the post C-19 period.

This session will look at the new transition methods implemented at UCO for first year neurodiverse students and whether their satisfaction of the course, academic attainment,

and success both academically and socially, differs from neurodiverse students who did not participate in the new transition model.

This session will present the initial findings of a Foucauldian analysis of a series of interviews with a group of college middle managers.

Collaboration with other artists is not a term that is usually associated with Photographers, they are often solitary animals working alone hidden behind a camera and at one time in a dark room.

For the symposium I would like to show and talk about some of my collaborative work how it informs my ideas, projects and teaching.

This session will focus on the impact of physical activity on the six dimensions of psychological well-being in former sedentary midlife adults.

One of the primary barriers in most collective ludic play communities such as cosplay, steampunk or re-enactments is the high financial and time commitments required to participate within the genre.

I frame the scare entertainment industry is an example of how this barrier has been overcome somewhat in the horror genre by the commodification of ludic play as free or cheap labour and the potentially problematic new dynamics this creates.

In this session I will explain why and how I reconstructed a “lost” collection of medieval choral music, and discuss the journey from historical research to present-day performance.
