expectations in all areas of the curriculum. A great example for other units to review and adapt to their particular units.AL-091 Cadet Programs Cadet ownership showed dramatic improvement over the previous external visit. Cadets had instituted promotion, awards, and disciplinary

boards. Cadets were actively involved in managing and training cadets in all functional areas. Financial management of the cadet money was a leadership function--they knew how much they needed to execute their programs and planned fund raisers to meet their needs.

AL-936 Cadet Programs The unit had a cadet-planned and executed weekly wellness/fitness program. They had documented weekly plans and E2C leaders in each class/flight. They also recorded activity. Four cadets had not returned their parental permission forms (an alternative activity needs to be planned for those cadets not participating). Both instructors were current in CPR.

AZ-20063 Cadet Programs Excellent 30-step maneuver led by a truly outstanding cadet. Great cadet briefing presented during an impressive cadet staff meeting. Most noteworthy was the manner in which the staff meeting was conducted. The corps commander directed the meeting. Members of her staff spoke only when necessary. No one talked out of turn. Cadets accomplished the agenda quickly and professionally. The Student Council President, who is not a member of the corps, was invited to the meeting to ensure cadet activities were coordinated with the Student Council.

AZ-20063 Cadet Programs Cadets train and mentor other cadets. The unit has a program they proudly call "Wingman." An upper classman takes responsibility for lower classmen. Each cadet carries a card that list the names of their wingmen. Most touching, a cadet who became homeless found shelter through this program.

AZ-20064 Cadet Programs Unit completed in access of 2,200 community service hours last year. This year they increased the number of service hours to be done to 2,500. Already this year they have completed 600 hours. Of particular note, they have spent 300 hours scrapping gum from the sidewalks on school grounds. The school would have had to pay a contractor thousands of dollars to do what cadets have done. Their hard work is greatly appreaciated by the school administration.

CA-863 Cadet Programs Cadets count uniform inventory and record results into CIMS. Two cadets demonstrated complete knowledge of how to enter information into CIMS and how to reflect the disposition of each item in CIMS. Additionally, the cadets are training lower classmen to take their place when they graduate.

CA-863 Cadet Programs 100 percent of cadets are in service dress uniform. The uniforms are pressed and clean. Every male has a current hair cut. Every female cadet has her hair up and off of her collar. Every cadet shined their shoes. They look great.

CA-20017 Cadet Programs Unit accurately uses CIMS to account for AF property and equipment. A cadet enters the inventory information into CIMS. She demonstrated to me how she does this and she included her CIMS specialist replacement in the demonstration.

CA-20017 Cadet Programs Unit is tracking more than required uniform items in CIMS. Additionally, a cadet (not the same one who demonstrated equipment management and inventory) is assigned to enter inventory information into CIMS. She demonstrated this capability to me during the evaluation and she included her replacement in the demonstration.

CO-861 Cadet Programs Cadets keep unit rank structure low with only 4 cadet Officers which reflects active duty rank structure. Flight leaders or "New Eagles" rotate every 2 weeks which gives everyone a flight leader opportunity. Corps extremely active in fundraising to keep individual cadet cost down. Drill team won 16 trophies in 4 drill meets with numerous 1st/2nd place finishes in "knock-out". 24 cadets attend the AFA SLS program. Unit

The cadets had a semester-long time management goal where all cadets kept a time log to determine how cadet time was used/wasted.

GA-052 Cadet Programs Each member of the staff had their own goals and objectives. This is the strongest use of cadet-inspired goals seen to date. This was not just an academic exercise to the cadets of this unit, but a means to improve their corps. Each leader was required to keep a continuity book that was reviewed weekly by the Inspector General. The cadets accomplished their own cadet-developed self inspection prior to the Unit Evaluation. The checklist used was written by the cadets. The vice commander maintained the merit-demerit program and there were cadet-owned tools for rewards and consequences.
