Make Study Notes

• Why? Because you need to understand what the concepts are before you answer the questions.• Write them out or use the computer. • Add post its to relevant notes in your binder, use these notes and

condense the information. • Now you are ready to answer the practice questions.

Practice Questions – “Don't practice until you get it right. Practice until you can't get it wrong.”

• Work on practice questions using your study notes (or at least your posted science notes) • Read questions carefully. What are you being asked to do? • Define? Compare? Explain? Support? • Make sure that your answers use science and are complete. • Remember that practice • “Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before

which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish.”

“The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.”

Make a Plan

•Make a reasonable plan for studying – set aside time each day this weekend to study for each chapter.

•Make sure you are able to review each chapter. If you spend all your time on one chapter you will not be fully prepared.

Minimize Distractions

• Step away from computers, cell phones And all other distractions!
