Make your Point and use language from the question to Establish your understanding.

“Back up” your Argument (Point) with Evidence from an Event Movie (Hollywood Case Study) OR Indie Movie (British Film Case Study)

THEN, make a Comparison between ONE Film Industry and the OTHER using a connective (However, On the other hand, Opposed to this..,On the contrary, Similarly)

Finally, Link everything BACK to the Question through a concluding comment that Analyses the impact/difference/similarities

For example:

The continuing development of digital technology has impacted both Hollywood and Indie Film Distribution and Exhibition.

For example, the transition from 35mm – Digital Projectors has meant event movies such as ‘Man of Steel’ (2013 – Warner Bros) are able to saturate the market and capitalize on the more than 3,000 Digital screens that now exist in the UK. As a result the film was the 9th most successful movie at the UK box office ($46m) in 2013.

On the other hand, Ken Loach, who is known to be an ‘Agent of Defiance’, prefers the traditional 35mm form of filming which resulted in his Scottish film ‘The Angels Share’ (2012 – Sixteen Films) being unable to compete at the box-office. To overcome this Oligopoly of Hollywood dominance, ‘A Field in England’ (2013 – Film Four) was released through an innovative ‘multi-platform day and date release’ on July 5th 2013, where although the film only recouped $64k at the UK Box-Office (309th in 2013) it did achieve some modest success on other platforms such as VOD (1,200 transactions on iTunes).

This connotes how British film must adapt or find alternative ways of being successful, which innovations in Digital Media could offer. YOU COULD then go onto give more
