Population density: A measurement of population per unit area (square mile, kilometer, etc.).
Settlement pattern:Distribution of human settlements on the landscape.
Natural resources:Valuable material such as minerals, trees, or water that are supplied by nature.
Monsoons:A heavy rainy season which lasts for several months.
Plate tectonics:Theory that the Earth's surface is made up of large plates that are continuously moving
Subduction:Process by which one tectonic plate moves beneath another.
Deforestation:Cutting down large areas of trees.
Soil Erosion:The wearing away of soil by wind or water
Natural hazard:Fire, flood, storm, earthquake, or other hazard(s) which may result in danger to life and property.
Demographics: The characteristics of population such as age, income, ethnicity, etc.
