ACTIVITY The teacher will explain how the project is going to happen, and will show a video of Egyptians appropriate for the age. The video will be socialized with the kids, and related to their life experiences. The classroom will be divided in groups, according to their skills and personalities, and the activity will be developed following the next slides using a data display. The children will follow instructions in a great part, but in each step, they will be encouraged to do their own contributions. The next step will be giving them elements of the Maya culture, by showing some videos appropriate for their age. They will be encouraged to research in books, or in Internet in collaboration with their parents. Then they will give ideas on how to construct a Maya pyramid, and make up a story that could be painted in the Maya pyramid, taking in consideration what they learn about the Maya culture and aesthetics.

“The child removed his shoes and his shirt, and put on a Shendyt (a white Egyptian skirt), and become a flat drawing. His chest remained in front of, his head turned sideways, but left a wide open eye looking at the front. He put his feet firmly on his side, put his arms close to the body, with one hand grabbed the ANKH key and took the scepter with the other.” Let's draw and paint him with some mates, in one side of the pyramid, to show what is happening in the inside. The skirt should be white.

“Thus dressed up, the child gets on the boat with bird wise counselor Toth. The sun child Khepri goes incognito. When no one sees it, it becomes a winged scarab. A mysterious boatman guides the adventure. In the world of the dead they travel by boat over the Nile River.” The river zigzags, rises, turns the pyramid, from the bottom up. Mix white paint with a drop of blue. With a thin brush paint the river all around the pyramid. Notice how the light blue shines on the sand-colored pyramid.
