  7. 7. HUMAN RESOURSES MANAGMENT Unilever is one of the companies that have set examples of efficient human resource management. The company focuses greatly on human rights and ensures that compliance with human rights is carried out through its positive assurance process. In order to learn about the perspective of its employees, Unilever carried out self-assessments of employees, external audits, and trainings. The strategic management of Unilever realizes that happiness among employees directly influences the success and growth of its business. In 2013, Unilever also launched a Social Impact Hub on its employee portal which helped the company introduce its employees to social activities. This had a positive impact on the society and linked the business with its corporate social responsibility. The hub also included information regarding human rights in order to help the employees learn about their rights in the workplace.

  10. 10. RECOMMENDATION Taking all of these factors into consideration, and with reference to all of the theories which have been discussed and applied, it is apparent that there is a self-perpetuating cycle and culture of success which is supporting the leaders at Unilever to behave in a manner which is highly likely to assist them in developing a business which is fit to operate in current times. The communicative style of the leaders should be upheld and gently moulded in newer acquisitions to one which is collaborative and co-operative in approach, drawing on the theories it engages employees in such a way that they provide constructive criticism and feedback on how best to help Unilever develop in the current challenging environment to see Unilever through into the future.
