• UNICEF will implement mobile clinics in Diffa and N’guigmi departments to ensure health access in the most remote and vulnerable locations where displaced sites are located. The project is targeting 253,349 persons and should start off on the the 4 December. This activity will complement ongoing action by other partners including Save.

• UNICEF just renewed its agreement with its partners COOPI to expand psychosocial support activities held in Diffa for 9,750 children including 5,143 girls through mobile activities with a special geographic focus on the Lake Chad Islands.

• UNICEF and UNHCR, jointly with the other partners, are developing Standard Operational Procedures for unaccompanied and separated children.

• IEDA Relief began its programme of cholera prevention. Despite efforts the epidemic is ongoing. UNICEF is requesting support from the CERF Secretariat. UNICEF Communication for Development section supported the development of radio messages broadcasted on local radios in 6 languages as well as the dissemination of video spots through the Cinema Numérique Ambulant.

• UNICEF trained 2 people from Diffa Heath District on nutritional surveillance to reinforce the regional early warning system. • In order to ensure access to quality primary education for displaced communities, UNICEF in collaboration with COOPI identified 10 schools
