CELEBRATING PASSOVER IN THE NEW TESTAMENT.

Matthew 26 - Luke 22On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread,

on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed . The disciples came to Jesus and asked,

Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?

Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover.Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, The Teacher says: My appointed time is near.

I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.

They left and found things just as Jesus had told them. So they prepared the Passover.

The Last Supper / LORDs Supperis actually PASSOVER supper.While in Catholicism, it is called Eucharistic Mass.

There is NO such thing as Last Supper nor LORDs Supper found in the scriptures.

Such words are just written by men as a title.

Last supper/LORDs supper nor Eucharistic Mass will not make any senseunless you understand theTRUE MEANING & SIGNIFICANCEofPASSOVER.

What is the history of Jewish Passover?

Why is it celebrated?

THE PLAN: SAVE ISRAELITES OUT OF EGYPT, THE LAND OF SLAVERY

and bring them to a rich & abundant land, wherein they did not work for.

Exodus 11 & 12 Now the LORD had said to Moses,

I will bring one more plague on Pharaoh and on Egypt. After that, he will let you go from here,

and when he does, he will drive you out completely. About midnight I will go throughout Egypt.Every firstborn son in Egypt will die, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sits on the throne, to

the firstborn son of the female slave, who is at her hand mill, and all the firstborn of the cattle as

well. There will be loud wailing throughout Egyptworse than there has ever been or ever will be

again. But among the Israelites not a dog will bark at any person or animal.

Then you will know that the LORD makes a distinction between Egypt and Israel.

THE OLD PASSOVERExodus 12 On that same night I willpass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn of both

people and animals, and I will bring judgmenton all the gods of Egypt. I am the LORD.

The bloodwill be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood,I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.

PASSOVER.. Pass Over.. Passing from Death to Life.

And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?

That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD's passover, who passed over the houses

of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses.

The LORD passed over the houses of Israel in Egypt,

when he smote the Egyptians & delivered their houses.

The LORD makes a distinction between Egypt and Israel.

The LORD saved Israel from the plague of the first born.

..The bloodwill be a sign for you on the houses where you are..What is this blood?

Exodus 12 Go at once and select the animals for your families and slaughter the Passover lamb.

Take a bunch of hyssop, dip it into the blood in the basin a nd put some of the blood on the top and

on both sides of the doorframe. None of you shall go out of the door of your house until morning.

When the LORD goes through the land to strike down the Egyptians,he will see the blood

on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass over that doorway,

and he will not permitthe destroyerto enter your houses and strike you down.

It is the blood of the Passover lamb.But this is not just any ordinary lamb, the LORD has

His own standards & requirements for this Passover lamb.

Exodus 12 This month is to be for you the first month, the first month of your year.

a. In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house

of their fathers, a lamb for an house.

And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbor next unto his house

take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your

count for the lamb.

Lamb requirements:1. your lamb shall be without blemish

2. a male of the first year. (first-born male)

3. ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats

b. Ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the

congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

c. And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post

of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

d. And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread;and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with

fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof. And ye shall let nothing of it remain

until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire. And thus

shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand;

and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD's passover.

The LORD commanded ISRAEL to keep this FEAST

as an everlasting ordinance from generation to generation.

Exodus 12 This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generations to come you shall

celebrate it as a festival to the LORDa lasting ordinance.

Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first dayye shall put away leaven out of your

houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul

shall be cut off from Israel. On thefirst day hold a sacred assembly, and another one on the seventh

day.Do no work at all on these days, except to prepare food for everyone to eat;

that is all you may do.

Celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread, because it was on this very day that I brought

your divisions out of Egypt. Celebrate this day as a lasting ordinance for the generations to come.

In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread,

until the one and twentieth day of the month at even. Seven days shall there be no leaven found in

your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the

congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land. Ye shall eat nothing leavened;

in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread. Wherever you live, you must eat unleavened

bread. Obey these instructions as a lasting ordinance for you and your descendants. When

you enter the land that the LORD will give you as he promised, observe this ceremony.

Festival of Unleavened Bread

is a feast, a celebration to the LORD.For passing over their houses & saving their firstborn,

when the LORD passed through Egypt to bring judgment.

This Passover is the same supper that Jesus celebrated

with His disciples. The LORDs passover.

THE NEW PASSOVERChrist Jesus, the Passover Lamb of GOD.

Matthew 26 - Luke 22 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, (what bread? ..unleavened bread)

..ye shall eatunleavened bread..

Gave thanks and broke it, (why break it? because it is written,according to the number of souls)

..take itaccording to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating

shall make your count for the lamb

And gave it to them, saying, This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.

This is my body (bread = body) (bread without yeast = body without sin)

given for you; (break/divide = given for all) do this in remembrance of me.

Then he took the cup, he gave thanks and said,

Take this and divide it among you. Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the newcovenant, which is poured out for you, for many for the forgiveness of sins.

..Blood of the New Covenant, for the Forgiveness ofSins..

Why blood is needed to be forgiven?For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an

atonementfor your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.Leviticus 17:11

And without shedding ofbloodis no remission of sins. Hebrews 9:22

Christ Jesus OUR New Passover,in relation to the Old Passover.

Lamb requirements:

1. your lamb shall be without blemish2. a male of the first year. (first-born male)

3. ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats

YahuShua, the Perfect Lamb of God:

1. Perfect Lamb without sin

2. First-born male, the begotten Son of God3. Taken out from the sheep (good) & goats (wicked) person

In His Second Coming, the Lamb of God will be separating the sheep from the goats.

When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit

on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate

the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. Matthew 25: 31-32

THE NEW PASSOVERfrom the old pass over..

..The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are,and when I see the blood, I will pass over you..

The NEW passover.. is passing over from death to life.. eternal death to eternal life.

The Passover Lamb, is Jesus Christ, the lamb without blemish, the man without sin,

male of the first-born, begotten Son of God.

Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee;

and let all the angels of God worship him. Hebrews 1: 4-6

The blood on the houses, is on the door posts of our hearts.. and when the LORD

sees the blood of Jesus Christ in our hearts, eternal death will pass over us.

How will we put the blood of Jesus on our hearts?

By fully accepting in our hearts, that Jesus Christ died for our sins,

so that our sins may be forgiven, washed away by the precious blood of a man without sin.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth

in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son

into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already,

because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16-18

This is also what Jesus meant in washing his disciples feet.

John 13 The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of

Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus. Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and

that he had come from God and was returning to God; so he got up from the meal, took off his

outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. After that, he poured water into a basin and

began to wash his disciples feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.

He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, Lord, are you going to wash my feet?

Jesus replied, You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.

No, said Peter, you shall never wash my feet.

Jesus answered, Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.

Then, Lord, Simon Peter replied, not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!

..Unless I wash you, you have no part with me..Unless your sins were washed by the blood of Jesus, you have no part with Him & His kingdom.

Why should we need to be cleansed? We are clean!

Your sins make you unclean.

No unclean thing can dwell in the presence of God.

No sin can enter the kingdom of God.

That is why the LORD commanded Israel,

..Ye shall put away leaven (sin) out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread

from the first day until the seventh day,that soul shall be cut off from Israel.

Leaven, Yeast, Pig always represents Sin or Uncleanliness.

We shall put away sin, out of our body, out of our life..

for whosoever has sin, will be cut off, blotted out from the book of Life.

And nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come

into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life. Revelation 21:27

No foreigner uncircumcised in heart and flesh is to enter my sanctuary,

not even the foreigners who live among the Israelites. Ezekiel 44:9

Uncircumcised in heart = Change of heart

Only by the blood of Jesus on the door posts of our hearts can we pass from eternal death to

eternal life. Only by the precious blood of the Perfect Lamb of God, can our sins be forgiven &

washed away for us to be clean & worthy to enter the kingdom of God.

..For(eternal life) of the flesh (man) is in the blood(of the Passover Lamb of God):

and I have given it to you (God sending His only begotten Son) upon the altar to make an

atonement for your souls: (payment for our sins) for it is the blood(of Jesus)

that maketh an atonement(forgiveness) for the soul. For God so loved the world,

that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth

in him should not perish,but have everlasting life.. unending life.. life without end..

Just as Jesus, who died - buried - risen - ascended & alive in heaven..

so shall be, for those who believe in Him, should not perish,

blotted from the book of Life = eternal death..

but will also be risen from the grave & be given eternal life..

..Do this in remembrance of me..

Dont you know that a little yeast (sin) leavens the whole batch of dough? (whole being)

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened.

For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us.Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice

and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Do this in remembrance of Christ, the Passover Lamb, sacrificed for us.

Let us keep the feast, not according to the Old Jewish Tradition,

but with the sincere repentance & true acceptance of what Christ Jesus did for us.
