HOW DO I GET STARTED? SIMPLE, REALLY.1. Go to BB 107 Advising Center and get FORM 1 – this is

an eligibility check.

2. Also complete FORM 2 – this is where you find a suitable internship.

3. UTA Career Services has a HIRE A MAVERICK database that can also help find a suitable internship position for you.

4. Negotiate with the company you select for the internship position.

5. When you are finished, bring FORM 1 and FORM 2 to Dr. Richarme for signatures.

6. He will give you FORM 3, which is a mini-contract between you, your employer, and UTA.

7. When that is completed, return it to Dr. Richarme for signature and activation of your registration for the Internship class.

AM I ELIGIBLE FOR AN UNDERGRAD INTERNSHIP?Eligible students include UTA undergraduate juniors and seniors with a declared major in the College of Business, with a minimum overall GPA of 2.5, and who have 3 hours available in advanced business electives. If you don’t know, Advising Room 107 will tell you.

WHAT ARE THE COURSE REQUIREMENTS?1. Do a good job for your employer – think of it as

practice for getting hired when you graduate.

2. Complete a daily journal on Blackboard describing your relevant Marketing activities.

3. Write a 10 page paper describing how this experience tied to your Marketing curriculum and upload to Blackboard by the end of the semester.

4. Your employer will fill out a Report Card (Advising will send it to them automatically) at the end of the semester.

5. You get a Pass/Fail grade based on completing the above requirements.

6. The grade is assigned by Dr. Richarme.
