Homework Week 10 – Due November 22 Grade 2 TLC Reading: The homework program includes 15 – 20 minutes of daily reading. Please continue using Raz-Kids at least 2 sessions a week. This should include reading, listening and doing the quizzes. Math All three colours of homework are being asked to continue to use Mathletics (www.mathletics.com/signin ) at home. Each student has received a sign in card from their teacher with their username and passwords written on them. We ask for the next two weeks that: yellow group spend 10 minutes / 2 times a week on Mathletics blue group spend 15 minutes / 2 times a week red group spend 20 minutes / 2 times a week. The students can continue to focus on the units on Patterning, Numbers to 30 and now Numbers to 100. If your child has not successfully compledted a task I will reassign it to them for additional practice. Spelling: Please practice the spelling words listed below. 1. Date the homework. 2. Write each spelling word with markings as many times as possible in one row of print, using finger spaces between words. 3. Write a sentence for each of the words to show they understand the correct use of the word. Remember that the Literacy Map markings are a tool to help recognize and understand spelling patterns. What we are looking for is the correct spelling on the review and more importantly, applying it into our daily work. Spelling test will be on Thursday, November 22. Yellow: First 6 words with a simple sentence. Example: I went to school.

Reading:The homework program includes 15 – 20 minutes of daily reading. Please continue using Raz-Kids at least 2 sessions a week. This should include reading, listening and doing the quizzes.
