About ten years ago the privately owned firm Lemmer Consulting started the ultrasound business activities as German distributor of the Belgian manufacturer Harsonic®.

ABOUT OUR COMPANY

The headquarter is based in Diessen am Ammersee belonging to the Munich Metro Region about thirty miles away from Munich Airport. Future production facilities are planned to be rented locally.

For the shipping industry. International regulations set in force from IMO (International Maritime Organization) and USCG (US Coast Guard) have to be met by the ship owners not later than 2019. More than 48.000 ships have to be equipped with BWMSystems

HARSONIC

Using the ultrasound technology the Belgian manufacturer HARSONIC® has developed a family of products to avoid biofilm in pipes, valves, tanks and on the outer hull of yachts and boats. Biofilm is the basis for the growth of all different kinds of seaweeds, mussels and barnacles. Transducers dramatically reduce the service effort of all protected above items.

The Harsonic® products offer a low price/high volume business with limited technical requirements. These products are only marketed indirectly through a USS indirect salesforce or dedicated partners in the different countries. Partners must have a certain degree of competence and proven market access. We expect short sales cycles of several weeks. A specialization on different market segments will follow at a later point of time.

Currently a new development of a Ballast Water Management System (BWMS) for large vessels is ongoing and almost ready for setting up the prototypes for certification and type approval.

Main focus has been the yachting, food, industry and water treatment systems.

HARSONIC® currently is the most frequently marketed product using the ultrasound technology to avoid biofilm.

There is a wide range of industries in which the transducers could be used.

Due to limited resources most of these markets have been served only reactively.

The USS currently is the only enterprise that is using the ultrasound technology! It will meet maritime regulations.

We are closely working together with internationally well known scientists who have the proven expertise in using the ultrasound technology.

Today there are about 50 different systems in the market using these “old” technologies. They do not meet IMO and USCG regulations.

As already mentioned currently installed technologies for water treatment as filtration, chemical or ultraviolet treatment do not sufficiently reach the 100% target
