None of us want to waste food. But busy lives and hectic schedules mean we don’t always have the time, energy or inspiration to whip up an off the cuff culinary classic every night of the week.

We all know that ‘nothing to eat’ feeling. Tired, hungry & staring at what looks like an empty fridge. But, with the right recipe & a dollop of

That’s why we’ve created our Hellmann’s Hacks. Super-simple tricks, tips & techniques designed to help you turn every last item into something truly delicious. You won’t need any fancy equipment or pro-chef skills, just a jar of

mayo and whatever’s in the fridge.

We’ve suggested some ingredients to get you started, but these recipes are all about using up what you’ve got, so be brave and bung it all in!

FLIP & ROLL OMELETTE

This versatile wrap hack works with pretty much anything you can throw at it. Here we’ve used up the last few vegetables

left in the fridge, it’s also a great way to use up cooked meats - we’ve even tried it with leftover rice, burrito style!

INSTRUCTIONS1. Set a pan over a medium heat and add the peppers,

onion & paprika. Season to taste and cook for 1 minute until slightly softened.

2. Stir in the beaten eggs & place the tortilla on top. Cook for a further minute.

3. Using a spatula, ensure the edges of the omlette are free from the sides of the pan, then flip the tortilla over bringing the omelette with it. Sprinkle over the grated cheese and stripe over Hellmann’s real mayonnaise.

4. Use the spatula to roll the wrap in the pan and toast on each side for a further 30 seconds until lightly browned. Slice and serve with Hellmann’s on the side.

INSTRUCTIONS1. Neatly stack the bread slices, remove the crusts and

freeze them for later use. They make perfect soldiers for boiled eggs, just toast in the oven straight from the freezer for 5 mins or until golden brown.

2. Spread one side of the bread slices with a thin layer of Hellmann’s and flip over. Add the cheese, diced veggies & 2 tbsp of Hellmann’s mayo to a bowl, mix well and place a spoonful of the mix in the center of two slices.

3. Brush the edges of the bread with water and place the remaining slices on top, mayo side up, and crimp the edges together with a fork to create sealed pockets. toast in a hot frying pan for 3 minutes each side, until golden and crisp with a molten cheese centre.

ONE-POT CHICKEN PASTA

One-pot recipes are the ultimate fast track hack, so when you pair that with a dollop of Hellmann’s for an instantly creamy

sauce, it’s so easy it feels like cheating!

INSTRUCTIONS1. Set a deep, lidded pan or casserole dish over a medium

high heat. Add the vegetable oil followed by the chicken and onions. Cook for 2 minutes until lightly browned.

2. Stir in the chicken stock, broccoli, spinach & pasta, bring to a simmer and place the lid on the pot. Cook for 10 minutes until the pasta is al dente.

3. Stir in the Hellmann’s mayo and spoon the pasta into bowls. Top with grated parmesan and cracked black pepper and serve.

nachos are the perfect excuse to use every last spud.

INSTRUCTIONS1. Set the oven to 200C. Place the potatoes in a baking tray.

Using a clean dry tea towel, squash the potatoes with your hand so that they flatten. Drizzle over the olive oil & sprinkle with the paprika and salt to taste. Place in the oven for 20 minutes, until golden and crisp.

2. Whilst the potatoes cook, mash the avocado in a bowl with 1 tbsp Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise and the lime or lemon juice to create a chunky guacamole.

3. When the potatoes are ready, remove the oven and top with the guacamole, tomatoes and the remaining Hellmann’s mayo. Serve in the baking tray and enjoy!

SPICY MAYO CHICKEN DIPPERS

Blitzing your own breadcrumbs is a smart move, mainly because it means you can make these dippers, but you can also

top oven bakes, add crunch to salads or try some DIY fish fingers.

INSTRUCTIONS1. Preheat the oven to 180C. Spread stale bread chunks on

baking tray and cook for 6 minutes. Remove from oven, allow to cool & cover with a clean tea towel. Use a rolling pin to bash into breadcrumbs.

2. Place the chicken strips in a bowl with the 1 tbsp of Hellmann’s and mix to coat well. Dip the strips into the bread crumbs so that they are completely cover and arrange neatly on a non-stick baking tray. Place in the oven for 15 minutes until they are crisp on the outside and piping hot in the centre.

3. Whilst the chicken cooks, place the remaining hellmans in a bowl with the yoghurt and chilli powder and mix to combine. Serve alongside the chicken strips for dipping.

side of a BBQ plate.

INSTRUCTIONS1. To make the slaw, combine the red cabbage, spring onions

and carrot in a bowl with 1 tbsp Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise and a squeeze of lemon juice. Cover and set aside.

2. In a bowl, season the beef to taste and roll into 4 even balls. In batches of 2, place the balls in a frying man over a high heat and flatten into thin patties with the spatula.

3. After 1 minute, place 2 mounds of cheddar beside each patty in the pan. Allow to cook for 1 minute before flipping the patties and placing the melted cheese on top. Cook for a further 2 minutes, remove from the pan, stack both cheese patties in a bun and top with the creamy salad draw ‘slaw and more Hellmann’s mayo. Repeat with the remaining patties.
