UAE School Leadership Programme: Internship

Witnessing the power of effective school leadership...The School Leadership Programme has been especially developed to ensure the programme’s participants can bring immediate and lasting change to their schools. A key way the programme achieves this is through the School Leadership Internship Programme, which provides participants with the chance to observe optimal school leadership practice in some of the Emirates’ best performing schools. Participating schools will host four to six participants one day a week for six weeks, allowing interns to see first-hand how effective school leadership can bring measureable benefits to schools and students.

The internship provides participants with opportunities to:

n Make connections between own practice and the practice observed in host schools.

n Consider the ways in which their leadership practice might change as a result of what they have observed.

n Engage with leaders and colleagues from other schools to discuss how schools can perform better and provide improved learning opportunities for students.
