What your child learned in class

Conversation: What does he do in the evening? He watches TV.

More routines: eat dinner, talk on the phone, do homework, take a bath, watch TV, study English

Listen and do verbs: Play the violin. Take a shower. Play video games. Go to bed.

Home study activityHave your child draw a chart of his or her own personal evening routines using the vocabulary from this lesson. Then have him or her make a chart of a friend’s routine (or imagine the routine of a favorite TV character). Talk about the two different routines. Ask your child about his friend’s evening routine, saying What does (she) do in the evening? Then draw a timeline of your evening routine and that of another family member. Encourage your child to ask you about these routines. Play a game of charades to practice the four verb phrases.
