Our manufacturing area consists of a machine shop,saw shop, two assembly shops, a burn shop, and a weldshop. Handling nearly all manufacturing in-house helps usmaintain our extremely high quality. Our factory uses 5S, alean tool directive, that increases productivity throughtidiness and improved organizational practices. We have thecapacity to run three shifts with approximately 100employees per shift. Machining capabilities range anywherefrom a small nut to a large weldment. Most importantly, weuse our own products to build our customers’ machines. The Engineering Department is comprised of

mechanical, electrical, and software engineers with over 250 combined years of design, process, andtechnical experience. Their knowledge allows us to apply proven designs to customer needs and to developnew technology for custom applications. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Cosmos software are used to optimizedesigns for standard products and to create custom solutions for specialized equipment. Our electrical and

mechanical systems are designed to industrial standards forstrength, reliability, and safety. The Custom series regulators are designed tomaintain pressure settings for cutting, welding andheating work. The bright red and green regulatorsallow the operator to quickly identify red for fueland green for oxygen. It is recommended to useflashback arrestors such as the Silver Sentential orSentinel Plus for added protection.

We recommend the Koike Sentinel Plus flashback arrestor to prevent dangerous and damaging backfiresand flashbacks from reaching the regulators or gas supply. A unique gas supply interrupt feature shutsdown the gas supply and prevents secondary accidents; while an indicator alerts the user of theabnormal operation. A simple quick slide ring resets the system.

Features and Benefits§ Excellent Reverse - Flow Prevention

High quality reverse - flow valve helps toprevent the possibility of gases mixing; when abackfire occurs it shuts off pressure to the torch.

§ Reverse DisconnectPrevents coupler from accidentally releasing. Willnot come apart with a straight pull as requiredby OSHA Standard No. 1915.55 (F) (5).

§ Safer Plugs and SocketsEach connector is color coded for quickconnections to oxygen and fuel lines, whilethe specially designed fittings preventreversing the gas lines during setup.

§ Tight SealingTwo unique seal packings provided betweenplug and socket assures tight sealing.

The Sentinel Safety-Z uses a unique reversedisconnect feature that will not come a partwith a straight pull. Flashback ArrestorIn the case of a flashback, flames are diffused through anti-flashelements. The heat energy is absorbed and the flame isextinguished.

Backflow PreventionIn order to prevent backfire, a preventive valve is installed forpreventing gas counter-flow. This assures that the gases will notmix.

Stepless Drive System

The Stepless Drive System equipped on the IK-12 Beetle guarantees the constantand stable movement of the machine, providing sharp, clean cuts.

The travel functions (forwards, backwards, stop) are activated only by oneoperation element. The clutch control ensures a trouble-free positioning of themachine. Bevel cutting is achieved by simply adjusting the torch holder at thebottom edge of the plate. A gear rack/bevel drive ensures precise positioning ofthe machine torch (Y-and-Z-axis).

Today, the state-of-the-art 6th generation, IK-12 Max3 is equipped with a doublecone stepless drive system to maximize the reliability in cutting., Electrical andmechanical components, grease, soldering and wiring are carefully selected to ensurelong service life in the most heavy-duty working environment.

Double Cone Stepless Drive System

The speed control mechanism of the IK-12 Max3 was developedby KOIKE, specifically for line cutting. It functions with a condensermotor rotating at a constant speed to prevent heat and voltageproblems from occurring.

Because no reduction gear is employed in the mechanism, there isno noticeable knocking from backlash, noise or vibration. With a110 lb (50kg) maximum loading weight and the use of heat-resistant grease, high temperature soldering and minimal electricalcomponents. The IK-12 Max3 is a reliable work horse that needsminimal skill to operate and is durable enough for a lifetime of continuous operation.

Operations

Template manufacturing is a simple process and as shown in thediagrams below, allowance is easily made for the diameter of thetracing roller as well as for kerf, with both external and internaltemplates. Once constructed, the template is quickly attached tothe holder with a suitable size tip. The direction changeoverswitch is then flipped to either right or left handed rotation.Power travels to the magnetic roller motor where speed can beadjusted from 4 to 39½ in/min. (100 to 1,000mm/min).

Operating the IK-70 is very easy. Adjust the speed by simply turning the knob on thecontrol box. The cutting direction, stop and change switch are all convenientlylocated in the same area. Select the optimum cutting speed range by shifting the 3-position clutch lever on the front of the gear box. Change from high to low speedsmoothly while cutting. Shift the clutch to the stop position and easily adjust thetorch position.

The specially designed stand allows stability and flexibility in the field. Verticalposition is also easily obtained by turning the handle on the stand.

Cutting precision can be achieved from 0 - 45° angles by adjusting the arm joint toensure torch position.

The IK-72T is ideal for industries which require out-of-positioncutting such as ship-vessel, and tank-building and repair.

There are three different types of rails available.

▪ The straight 1D rail made of robust aluminium, allowing straightcutting on flat plate in out-of-place positioning.

▪ The double-plane 2D rail has flexible steel strip inside, whichmakes the rail unable to bend sideways. Ideal for applicationswhich require a straight line over a curved surface such as tankand vessel fabrication.

Constant speed control verified by motor feedbackThe advanced controller on the WEL-HANDY MINI STRONG has adopted an advanced motorfeedback control with the use of a servo drive. This maintains a constant carriage traveling speedunder any load.Changes in load, either from the weight of welding equipment or a transition to a verticalposition will not slow down the carriage or allow its speed to fluctuate. This guarantees themachine will provide consistent, high quality welds from the beginning to the end.

Advanced control panel offers simplified operation

Basic left and right direction switch and volume-type speed control knob.Speed can be monitored on the digital display panel.

Overload detection functionWhen excessive load is applied to the carriage, the machine will stop travelingand automatically turn off the welding arc which greatly reduces the chance ofmachine components breakage and excessive material damage commonlyreferred to as a run-away-arc.

The overload detection feature was designed to protect the machine’s internaland external components and offer increased reliability by acting as a fail-safefor inexperienced operators.

Carriage position adjustment without lifting (patent pending)Allows the operator the ability to position the carriage in place without theneed to continuously move the machine once adhered to the plate. Themachine will travel into position without firing an arc when either limit switchis being pressed. Precise startposition adjustment can beachieved in a much more accurateand timely manner.

Automatic stop by limit switchThe WEL-HANDY MINI STRONG is equipped with limit switches on eitherend of the machine. When a limit switch is pressed during welding themachine stops travelling and automatically turns off the welding signal. Anexperienced operator can use this benefit to run multiple systems at one time.This is most commonly found where many similar welds are being donewithin a confined environment allowing the operator to pass back and forthbetween machines.

The LD-R control employs an infinite adjusting speed dialthat works in conjunction with the digital speed indicator above, givingthe operator complete control over rotational speed with a numberedread-out for consistent motion. Doubles as a directional switch. Includesa removable on/off type foot switch which aids in the safe operation ofthe unit.

Highly insulated control system reduces the impact of noise generated during TIG welding while ensuringstable table rotation; thus improving both work efficiency and welding quality.

Wide assortment of optional accessories are available, toassist in the automation of welding work (torch stand, automaticwelding controller, work chuck, weaving unit, torch holder, etc).

L - Torch Stand supports welding torches and assures accurateWelding. Counter weighted boom allows the operator to balancethe weight of the work leads and hand torch ensuring alightweight feel while adjusting in the vertical position. Lockinghorizontal and vertical adjustments allow quick locating of torches. Rotating verticalcolumn for fast loading/unloading of parts.

WP Series - 3 jaw welding chuck with self centering scroll type operation allows forfast set-up of cylindrical shapes. The chuck can go from the open position to thelocked position with the simple turn of the adjusting/lock lever.

WU-1 torch weaving system features a remote pendent withprogrammable touch pad for control of weave width, oscillatorfrequency, torch dwell (left,center and right) and torch originsettings. The compact unit allows for changing parameters before orduring the weld process. Parameters can be stored in memory.
