Gathercirculardishes.

Usingthemugtodrawyourcircleonfirmplastic.Weusedthelidofanicecreambucket.Asyoucansee,wewereabletocut3circlesfromthelid.

Step3PressFatQuarterssotherearenocreasesorfolds.Placethedinnerplateandluncheonplateonthefabric.Useapenciltodrawalinearoundeachplate.Cutouteachcircle.Repeatwiththecoordinatingfabric.

ChoosewhichfabricyouwantfortheOUTSIDEofthebag.TaketheLargestcircleoftheOUTSIDEfabric.Foldcircleinhalf.Press.

Step5

Measure1½”downfromtheedgeandpressalineperpendiculartothefoldline.

Step6Make2buttonholesapproximately½”longasshowninthepicture.Repeatattheotherendofthe1stfold.Youwillbemakingatotalof4buttonholes.

Placeapinattheendofthebuttonholeanduseaseamrippertoopenthebuttonhole.(Thepinpreventstheseamripperrippingbeyondtheendofthebuttonhole.)

Step8Placebothlargecircles,rightsidestogetherandsewa¼”seamaroundtheoutside.Makesmallslitsaroundtheoutside,ensuringthatyoudonotcutthroughthestitchingline.Thiswillensureasmoothedge.

Step9Cuta1”slitinthemiddleoftheINSIDEcircle.Turncirclerightsideoutandpresscarefullyaroundtheedge.

Measurethedistancefromoneendofthebuttonholetotheedge…stitchmaintainingthatdistancearoundthecircle.Measurethedistancefromtheotherendofthebuttonholetotheedge…stitcharoundthecircle,maintainingthatdistance.

Step11Repeatsteps8and9withthesmallercircles.

Step13Centreplasticcircleonthelargestcircle.Centresmallercircleontheplastic&largestcircle.Placepinsclosetotheplasticcircle.Sewaroundtheplastic.BeverycarefultoNOTsewthroughtheplastic!

Markandsew8dividinglinesfromtheinsidecircle(neartheplastictotheoutsideedgeofthesmallercircle).Thiswillprovidethelittlepocketsforindividualitems.

Step15Threadone20”cordthroughonebuttonholeandaroundthelargecircle,comingthroughatthebuttonholeclosetotheinsertionone.Tietheendstogetherinaknot.Repeatthroughthebuttonholesontheoppositeside.Tieanotherknotapproximately1½”infromtheknotattheend.Enjoy!
